Are We Normal Yet?

~Chapter 29~

*Quick note: This is a short chapter, but the next one will be much longer!*

As soon as Caleb opens the door, I walk right past him and head into the living room where the others are.

Me: This better be good Hayden. I'm not in the cowing mood.

Finn: Woah, you okay?

Me: Does it look like I'm okay??

Finn: (holds hands up) Alright, alright. Sorry.

Hayden gives me an odd look but doesn't say anything. Just then Caleb walks into the room. He looks at me, but all 3 of the lads shoot him a warning look before he can say anything.

Caleb: Right, I'm glad you could make it Emma.

I just shrug.

Caleb: Hayden, would you like to do the honours?

Hayden: (beams) It'd be my pleasure.

Hayden stands up, as if he's about to do a class presentation. He looks so excited.

Finn: Would you like to sit down, Em?

Me: No.

He nods, and I look away from him, focusing on the floor.

Hayden: So, Gaten and I was out in town for lunch today, and well, before we headed back we spotted Tanya.

Gaten: Looking pretty shifty and dodgy.

Hayden: (nods) So we discreetly followed her, and she stopped just outside of Morrisons. At first we were pretty confused, but then this guy showed up and they exchanged stuff. She was drug dealing!

This catches my attention. I look up from the floor and focus on my older brother.

Me: Did you see who the guy was?

Gaten: (shakes head) We couldn't tell. He had his hood up and was wearing a bandana that was literally covering half his face.

Me: Well that sucks.

Hayden: Maybe, but we now know that she's dealing still! Don't you see? With this information, we're really close to finally exposing her!

Finn: Can't we just expose her now? It'd only take one phone call.

Caleb: Patience my dear Finn, patience. There's still things to do first, not to mention we need a plan. For starters, I need to phone Dan and update him on this recent discovery. In fact, I'll do that tomorrow. For now, you guys should head on home.

We all nod standing up, apart from Finn who just stays sat on the sofa. We all say our goodbyes. As we're heading outside to Hayden's car, he nudges me.

Hayden: You gonna tell me what's bothering you or..?

Me: (sighs) I'm not saying anything until we're in the car.

He now and we finally reach his car.

Gaten: See you round you two!

We wave at Gaten, whom is now getting into his own car. Hayden unlocks his and we climb in. Within moments, he's driving.

Hayden: So..?

I take a deep breath.

Me: Jaeden confessed that he has feelings for me.
