*The next day*

I wake up to the smell of food cooking. I turn my head and the pounding is quite intense. I groan.

The fuck did I drink last night?

I slowly sit up and realise that 1. I fell asleep in my clothes from yesterday, and 2. I'm in a very comfy bed that makes me want to go back to sleep.

Except that I feel like I'm gonna throw up any minute.

I stand up a bit too quickly and try to remember where the bathroom is. I don't think Nick's 'rich mate' would appreciate me throwing up on the floor of one of the bedrooms.

I stumble across the landing and luckily, find the bathroom straight away.

Once I'm finished, I decide to take a shower and change into something else.

*10 minutes later*

Now in a cute white, woolly jumper and blue jeans, I put my wet hair into a bun, then make my way downstairs - barefoot. My head is still throbbing, but the hot water sure helped in a way.

Did I mention that the kitchen connects to the living room?

Hayden is spread across the sofa, still asleep, no sign of Jase or Joe. I spot Alisha sat at the table, in a baby blue dressing gown, holding a cup of coffee. She smiles when she sees me.

Alisha: Morning. How's the head?

Me: Throbs, not gonna lie.

Tia: Ah, you're awake then!

My eyes drift over to the kitchen counter, where Tia is standing next to the coffee jar. Nick has his back to me, busy with the food on the oven, but he turns around to give me a quick smile.

Me: Yeah I'm awake... Where's everyone else?

Nicholas: Jason is still asleep in one of the bedrooms, Joe and your mum have gone for a walk together.

I sit myself down opposite Alisha.

Me: What bout your mates?

Nicholas: Already left apart from Jake - he's asleep in the hammock outside. (laughs) Found him there when I went outside for a smoke.

Tia: Would you like some coffee, Em?

Me: Yes please. Nick, how are you so cheerful with a hangover?

Nicholas: Mine are not that bad.

Alisha: Wish that was the case with mine. (laughs)

Me: Same. Wait, what exactly are you cooking?

Nicholas: My famous hangover breakfast. Fried eggs, sausages, beans and buttered bread. Just ask Jake and he'll tell ya that it works like a charm.

Tia places a cup of the goodness in front of me.

Me: Thanks.

Just then, the patio door slides open and in walks mum and Joe.

Mum: (beams) Beautiful weather out there. A nice walk along the beach in the morning is so refreshing! Morning Em, nice to see you up.

Me: (smiles) Morning mum.

Nicholas: Tee, could you be a gem and go get Jase up?

Tia: Of course. (rushes out of the room)
