Allison's POV

I glared at the man in front of me.

"Detective Johnson." I said with a monotoned voice.

"Mind if I have a chat with you?" He asked giving Roadkill a giant smile.

"Hello Mr. Rhodes." He said.

"Detective."

Roadkill got up and left the office giving us a moment to talk.

"I said what I had to say Detective."

"I am giving you a chance to change your mind."

"I won't."

"Are you sure about that?" He asked with a mischievous grin on his face.

I leaned forward towards him.

"What do you want?"

"I told you what I want."

"And I told you no."

"But you don't have a choice now."

"And why don't I?" I crossed my arms in front of my chest.

"Because I will tell everyone your secret."

I looked at him confused.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

He leaned really close and whispered in my ear. My heart sank into my chest and I fought back tears.

When he leaned away, he had a victorious smirk on his face. I bit the inside of my cheek trying to fight back ugly sobs.

"I'll give you time to think about it." He walked out the shop and I was stuck on stupid. I wasn't sure what to do.

"Are you okay?"

No.

"I'm fine."

"Is that detective giving you a hard time?" He asked concerned.

I looked at the door he just left.

Yes.

"No, he was just asking a few questions."

He looked me over for a moment.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

I nodded and jumped off the stood.

"But if you don't mind, I have a ton of homework to do. I'll see you Monday."

I hurried to my bike not even bothering to take off the coveralls and sped back to Bella's. She wasn't home like usual and I was thankful for it.

I went straight into the bathroom and took a shower. Only when the water hit me so did the tears. I sat at the bottom of the tub and cried till I couldn't cry any more.

My heart was broken into pieces because if the club finds out what I did. I'm sure they will hate me forever. Especially Reaper.

It was the real reason why I left.

I wish I could say I was young and stupid, but the truth is I was just stupid. I trusted my mother and I shouldn't have. But I should've known she would do whatever she had to in order to make me like Roxanne. Only she didn't expect that I'd just leave.

Joke was on her.

But now the joke was on me.

I could feel my world crashing down and the only thing I can think about doing is telling the club the truth. No matter what.

Roadkill's POV

Whatever the detective told her hit a nerve.

I don't know what it was, but I planned on finding out.

Alli might not be my daughter but she was the closest thing I had. I wasn't able to have kids after a motorcycle accident I had when I was 22. Nancy stayed by me anyway saying she never really wanted kids anyway.

But when that blonde haired, blue-eyed she devil walked into my shop asking for an apprenticeship at only 16 I couldn't help but imagine she was my daughter.

At first, I thought her cornbread wasn't done in the middle. But she showed up every day more determined then the day before.

Finally, I got tired of her coming in and told her to show me what she got.

She wasn't skilled with the hands-on part, but she could tell me what every part was, how to fix certain problems and to say I was impressed was an understatement.

I worked with her every day after school and on weekends. She was the smartest little girl I've ever met.

Then something happened with her parents when she turned 17 and she moved into the club house with Reaper. I wasn't too sure how I felt about that relationship, but he seemed to make her happy.

Then out of no where she just left.

Didn't tell anyone bye just left. Reaper and I weren't on good terms till about 2 years ago. He swore he didn't do anything to chase her off and told me he thought she might be the one. Which still shocked me to this day on why she would leave.

I saw the way she looked at him. They loved each other even though they were too cowardly to tell the other one.

When I heard she was back, I couldn't deny how happy I was. It was like my daughter returned home. So, when Vulture came in and told me that he spotted her at the diner with Arabella, I rushed over there to see her myself.

Before she could even say anything to me. I offered her the job at the shop back. I loved having her work with me and this time I'll pay more attention to her.

And I am. That's how I know that Detective Johnson said something to her that shook her up. And if I can't get it out of her, I knew who to get it out of.
