3rd person POV
The entire waiting room was packed with Devil Creed members along with Allison's parents.
The room was eerily quiet for the amount of people in the room.
There was commotion by the front door when Roxanne came running in with Chuck carrying the baby behind her.
Roxanne's makeup was running down her face as she looked over at her mother and father standing near the window.
She ran into her mother's arms asking how Allison was.
Vulture was standing next to Missy on the other side of the waiting room. His eyes trailed over the women who was wearing a floral sun dress and sandals.
She looked just like Allison and Miriam. It was like nothing was his. She had the same blonde hair and extremely blue eyes.
Missy put her hand on his shaking shoulder.
Vulture was feeling a mix of different emotions as he stared at her. You could see the internal conflict in Missy too. Roxanne and Kraken were roughly the same age. Meaning he was with Missy when Miriam got pregnant.
It was just one giant clusterfuck on another.
They watched as a doctor came out the back room and they all stared at her in silence. Only the name that left her mouth wasn't Allison's.
They all sat back down. Some whispering amongst each other and others silently waiting.
Reaper's leg was bouncing up and down and he had no control over it.
Kraken came and sat down on one side of him and Bella on the other side. She put her head on his shoulder and let out a deep sigh.
She's been crying and it was obvious by her wet cheeks and red swollen eyes.
Arabella felt guilty. She should've been there; she could've stopped it.
Her battle inside was one she didn't want to express to everyone. She knew they'd try to tell her it wasn't her fault, but she felt she knew better.
After a couple hours they watched Miriam get irritated and walked to the receptionist. She started yelling and demanding answers just to have Michael try to drag her back.
Nancy was crying in Roadkill's chest. Nancy felt the same way as Miriam. She was like her daughter. Roadkill just wrapped her tighter to silence her cries into his body.
Another few hour slipped by when finally a male about mid-thirties walked out with his white lab coat and a clipboard in front of him.
"Allison Riley's family."
95% of the room stood up and he looked shocked.
"Immediate family." He repeated.
Miriam, Michael, Roadkill and Nancy rushed to the front and Roxanne did the unexpected. She walked over to Reaper held out her hand and brought him to the front with her.
"Right, I'm Doctor Sullivan. Ms. Riley is in recovery, but she is in a medically induced coma and not completely stable. She is suffering from a mild concussion, multiple contusions, cuts, swelling and internal bleeding. But right now, our biggest concern is the sepsis."
Roxanne gasped.
"How far along?" She rushed out.
He sighed.
"We need to try to fight it off and she is going to need a kidney transplant. . . "
"What aren't you telling us?" She glared at him.
"She doesn't have long to live if we can't clear the infection quick enough. We also have to find her a donor immediately." He said.
"I'll get tested." Reaper quickly said out.
"So will I." Roadkill, Nancy and Roxanne said at once.
Miriam could barely talk as she nodded her head in agreement.
"I will bring out a form for you to fill out. The more people we test, the better chance she has of finding a match. I recommend you get as many willing people to test."
They 6 of them nodded their heads in understanding. Before the doctor could walk away though Roadkill stopped him and asked if they could see her.
"Unfortunately, at the moment we would like for her to rest. Her body has been rejecting some of the medication. Until we could get her stable, we would like to keep her isolated. With the sepsis threat and her open wounds, it would be better to wait."
Roxanne leaned into Reaper and cried. Reaper felt slightly uncomfortable since they never really had a relationship, but this was Allison's sister. They didn't have the best relationship either, but Allison loved her.
"Come on." He said to her walking her back to her husband and child.
Arabella ran up to Reaper with so many questions unable to leave her mouth. But he didn't even realize he was ready to shed his own tears. He didn't know what to say.
Ranger walked up behind him setting his hand on his shoulder and Reaper turned to look at his father.
Ranger pulled him into his arms.
"It's okay to cry son. You love her. It won't make you any less of a man."
He let the tears out.
"CODE RED. PATIENT ROOM 433."
"I REPEAT CODE RED."
Doctor Sullivan was still talking to Roadkill and Miriam when that went over the speaker system. His eyes went wide as he excused himself and ran back.
Miriam dropped into Michael's arms sobbing.
Which only meant one thing to those in the waiting room.
That code red was for Allison.
