Allison's POV

Roadkill wrapped his arms around me again.

I was getting so many different reactions. But Reaper's was the only one that really mattered to me. But I knew his would be the worst. He was 19 when I took his father from him.

His mother was already an alcoholic and not really around. I made him alone and then I decided to leave too instead of talking to him.

Vulture and Kraken came back in the room. But I didn't comment on Reaper.

"Alright Allison, for now. . . . I think it's better if you find somewhere else to stay."

I already knew that was coming. Bella was Vultures daughter.

I just nodded.

"You're not to come back to the club house or associate with any club member until further notice."

I looked at Roadkill.

"Except my shop and me." Roadkill said.

They looked up at Roadkill.

"Sorry brother, that includes you. She can't work at the shop and she can't be seen with you either. We have things to discuss first as a club."

Roadkill shook his head.

"That's unacceptable. I'm all she has, and the shop is her money." He stood up angrily.

"It's already done Roadkill. If you have a problem, you can hand in your cut." Kraken said.

Roadkill went to say something, but I quickly stopped him.

"STOP! Don't say something you'll regret. I'll be fine. I swear it. I have to take the consequences. I'll be fine."

I repeated I'll be fine just to get him to listen but also to try to persuade myself too. I wasn't sure what I'll do but, in this moment, I couldn't help but think my mother got exactly what she wanted.

She won.

She always does.

I stepped away from Roadkill and walked out the clubhouse.

I got onto my bike and headed to Bella's house. She was up and she looked anxious. When I walked through the door, she threw her arms around me and cried.

She apologized over and over saying she didn't have a choice that she couldn't go against her family and I wouldn't let her. I wiped her tears and went into my room to grab my things and pack it up.

School started in a week and I could possibly still get into the dorms. I would make this work somehow. I'll find a way.

5 months later

A/N: Trigger warning.

I was able to move into the dorms, thankfully they had a cancellation. I am no working in an auto shop near campus and I've had ZERO contact with any Devils Creed members. So many things have happened in 5 months and I so badly wanted to talk to Arabella or Roadkill, but I couldn't.

I was in the library doing homework when the sound of a walkie-talkie echoed through the cathedral like ceilings. I looked up and saw Detective Johnson.

He sat across from me and had a giant smile on his face.

"Ms. Riley." He said.

I ignored him and continued on with my homework.

"It's disrespectful to ignore a police officer."

"But it's not disrespectful to ignore an asshole. I'm in a different county Detective Johnson. You have no authority here." I replied looking back down at my paper.
