The leaves on the trees rustle as the wind runs through them, creating a beautiful ripple. I could only imagine how relaxing the sound of that would be, if only I could hear it from the inside of the car.

I lean my forehead against the window, watching the trees pass by in a blur as we drive. The rough asphalt road almost looked smooth at the speed we were going. Driving in the outskirts of the city allows us to speed up a little, driving through the calm roads contrast to that of the city proper's busy tight streets.

"You alright?"

I turn to Nadech who glanced at me for a second before he returned his attention to the road. His other hand was holding mine, stretched out as he rested it on top of my thigh.

I smiled and nodded my head. I return my attention to the road and to the blue sky that was starting to don an orange hue. We were having a late afternoon drive, out of the city. I wasn't entirely sure where we were going but by the look in Nadech's face, I knew he was excited about it.

It had been a whirlwind of a few weeks. Tiring, but very much worth it. And very satisfying. We flew to Norway for our private wedding. It was basically a ceremony with more or less ten people held at a beautiful vintage rustic church. It was filled with pink and white roses that lined the aisle, filling the church with the sweet fragrance.

I was wearing an elegant white dress, nothing extravagant, just ethereally simple. A representation of our relationship. I admit getting married in secret was very sneaky, not even a lot of our friends know, only the closest ones. But, we wouldn't have it any other way. It was more than perfect.

Others may crave a huge wedding, filled with hundreds of people. But, for us, just like the relationship that we've maintained for almost a decade, we only wanted to keep it for ourselves. It made it more special. That we get to experience such a wonderful thing in our relationship without anybody else knowing about it. It made it more. . . . for us.

Nadech had to fly back home for a few days because of work. That was a downfall with doing things in secret, we had to adjust to our schedules. We can't simply say no to jobs to tell them we can't go because we were getting married. It would, for sure, stir a huge buzz.

It's not like we don't want everyone else to know, it's just that, there's a perfect time for everything. And to be honest, we enjoy holding the mystery, letting everyone guess. We would just like to keep it as our special little secret for a while, to enjoy it between ourselves.

It's what made our relationship strong and firm throughout the years. The secrecy. It only revolved around me and him, sans the rest of the world. And I think that was the main ingredient in how we stayed together for so long. Because we loved in private, kissed, danced, laughed in private. Away from the world that would have had too much to say, too much to critic, too much to decide for us.

We kept everyone guessing, but I guess it made us even stronger. Because we had it only to ourselves. We fixed anything between us, without the opinions of the criticizing public. We enjoyed it by ourselves, without anyone trying to join in. Not letting outsiders plant their decisions in something they weren't involved in. We only focused on ourselves.

We kept our relationship private, but we never denied each other. We never denied being partners in crime, in love, and life.

And I guess, it gave us the thrill as well.

The only thing that sucked was the week interval before our honeymoon. I mean, Nadech had to work. When we were both back in the country, we flew to Hong Kong to finally spend our honeymoon together.

Hong Kong has been rather special for both us, making us continuously fly back in to enjoy the culture and most of all, the food. We didn't go out much, I mean we were on our honeymoon. All we needed was inside the four walls of our hotel room.
