Getting drunk and meeting Dean at a party.
(1365 WORDS)
Dean's POV:
I walked into the house as music blared out the front door. Not bad for a posh party. Sam seems to think I can't take the case seriously because we're currently at a costume party. I couldn't help but chuckle as a man walked by wearing a pure white suit, bow and arrow on his back and a bright red love heart taped over his chest. Wow, cupid. This is going to be fun.
"I told you we should have dressed up," Sam scoffed as we looked around, people seem to take the costumes seriously. A lot of effort seemed to have taken place.
"I was not dressing up as a sailor," I argued making him chuckle.
"You would have got more attention from the women," He commented as I noticed two women whispering, looking at us and laughing. I looked down at our suits and sighed. I started walking into the main room and took a random hat off a guy close by. I looked at it and sighed before putting it on my head. It was a black and white striped hat. He was dressed as a robber and no doubt there will be a copper nearby. I approached the bar and had a look around. The shapeshifter could be any of these idiots. A whiskey was placed in front of me and did an appreciative nod to the bartender. He nodded back before I walked away.
"Wow," I couldn't hold in as I laid eyes on a gorgeous woman. She was wearing a short white skirt with a white shirt with lace and some black wings on her back. She was smiling and dancing happily before she whispered something to her friend. She adjusted her hair as she walked in my direction. I tried to act natural and lent my weight on the bar top. She stood a few spaces away from me and leant on the bar with both arms on the top. She used her tiptoes to rest comfortably. Her butt was sticking out and I knew I liked what I saw. She seems like an empowered woman so I drank my drink and waited for her to speak to me first. It won't be long to wait.
"Wine, please," She said to the bartender. I felt her looking at me as I took a drink of my whiskey. "Smart costume, Wall street thief, right?" She asked making me chuckle as I looked at her.
"You're pretty smart, three guys have already accused me of forgetting that it's a costume party." I chuckled and hid my grin with my glass as I took another sip.
"Wow, what idiot would not take the costume party seriously?" She asked sarcastically making me chuckle. Just as I was about to speak Sam showed up.
"Oh, this is my brother he seems to have lost his hat," I chuckled but he looked at me confused.
"No worries, now you look like the real Wall street thieves," She joked making me laugh.
"You can just have my hat," I commented with a smirk as I placed the hat on his head. She smiled at me as if I had just given a puppy home.
"So an angel?" Sam asked her so she spun on the spot to show him the costume. "No halo?" He smirked but she chuckled.
"I didn't want it to ruin my hair but also I don't think they would have them," She shrugged as the bartender handed her a drink.
"Why wouldn't they?" Sam asked, still smirking. If he cock blocks me I will punch him in the face, no hesitation.
"I think angels look like humans, you know how there are people in your life that you treasure, plus how could they save people without being with them? You know how miracles happen, they wouldn't know about it if they were in the clouds," She shrugged but Sam chuckled. "You think I'm wrong?" She asked with a chuckle in her tone.
"I think that they're dicks, they don't help people. They just do something to benefit them." Sam argued but she smiled.
"Well, everyone's entitled to an opinion, even if it's wrong." She smirked as she took a drink for her wine. I couldn't help but laugh. Sam hid his scoff in his laugh. "I think I've seen an angel," She started so I looked at her with a glisten in my eyes. If she's really met an angel she might be a hunter.
"Oh, really?" Sam scoffed sarcastically. She chuckled.
"Yeah, I got into a car accident, a really bad one. I knew I had broken something, everything hurt. I was upside down with my leg crushed by the car, she looked into my mirror even though no one was around. It was the middle of nowhere and suddenly there she was. She reached into the car and tapped my shoulder. Suddenly I was sitting on the floor away from my car and it exploded. I looked at her and she smiled at me. She told me to close my eyes but before I could I saw black feathers and suddenly I was standing in the middle of a town. No cuts, no bruises, no nothing." She explained before shrugging and walking away. Sam looked at me a little confused.
"Why would an angel save her?" He asked, just as confused as I was.
"I'll follow her, you look for the shapeshifter," I instructed but he scoffed as I started approaching the girl. "I'm Dean," I started so she smiled as she turned to look at me.
"I'm Y/N, this is my friend-" She was about to continue talking but her friend interrupted.
"Leaving," She smirked before winking at her friend and walking away. She laughed a little awkwardly.
After a while, we had dance, drank and laughed together. I didn't know I would ever say this but she has a great personality. She even sang along to AC/DC when they played. Either she's really perfect or she's a siren. I haven't worked it out yet. I was taken off guard when she grabbed my hand and pulled me to the bar.
"I haven't danced that much in my life," She chuckled a little out of breath. I laughed as I agreed and placed our empty glasses on the bar top. "You know what I haven't done much in life?" She asked. I looked at her expectantly. "Kissed a stranger," She added before she pulled my suit jacket and kissed my lips. I couldn't resist kissing her back. She smiled against my lips before deepening the kiss. My hands sat low on her sides, close to her hips as she had a hand on my chest and one on the back of my head. It was a little while before she pulled away. Her beautiful smile beaming at me. She giggled as she looked away and back at me. I couldn't hide my goofy smile.
"Well, it was nice to meet you, Dean. But I should head home. Call me sometime when you're not in Wall street," She chuckled making me laugh. She handed me a napkin which was folded in half. I smirked before watching her walk away. I sighed as I wanted to follow her but saw Sam still looking around. I groaned and hated my moral compass. I looked down to the napkin and opened it up. There was her number and name written nicely and a little note underneath.
"This may not make sense but if it does you're welcome.
The shift Sam is looking for is the bartender," I smirked as I chuckled knowing she probably knew we were hunters from the beginning. If she knows us she might be a hunter too. Normally I avoid other hunters but she's different. I caught Sam's eye and he sighed as he approached me. I didn't say anything but handed him the note. He raised an eyebrow at me before reading the note. He looked at me with slightly wide eyes, I nodded before he looked at the bartender. I guess it back to business.
