Leaving Sam to be an independent huntress and a few years later you run into him

(788 Words)

I pushed my entire body against the door as I fought against the vampire on the other side. I was using all my force and even had the file against it hoping the vampire wouldn't be able to get through but the door was slowly sliding open. I screamed in aggression trying my hardest to close the door. I can't believe I'm going to die from one damn vampire. I just took down the small nest and it's the random bitch that just got changed. Just my luck. I screamed as my wrist started to feel too much pressure, it snapped before I could even pull it away from the door. I quickly pulled away to grab my wrist but regretted it as the vampire slammed the door open on me sending me to the floor.

I looked up to the hungry vampire and groaned. This is how I'm going to die? This is bullshit.
"Hey!" A voice called from outside the door and soon a blade chopped the head clean off. Oh thank god. Another second and I could have been their final meal. I took a deep breath and I stood up, holding my wrist from the pain. I kept my eyes to it as I tried to move my hand. A failed attempt but at least now I know it is actually broken. I looked to the doorway seeing a man looking at me shocked. Like he recognised me. I just looked at him confused. Please don't be a creep! "Y/N?" He questioned but I looked at him confused. I don't recognise him but I have met a lot of people over the past couple of years.

"Look, thanks for saving me and all but I have no idea who you are," I shrugged as I walked towards him. I expected him to step aside so I could pass but he just looked at me. I cleared my throat hoping he would the hint but he just continued to look at me. "Okay, I'm flattered but seriously move," I explained aggressively and he seemed to shake himself out of it.
"I'm sorry. I just haven't seen you in years. I thought I'd never see you again," he explained so I sighed.
"Well, I lost my memory 4 years ago, I woke up in a ditch with a hole in my head. I don't remember you so I'm sorry hope we were friends or something but I should get going," I explained pushing passed him slightly. He quickly followed after me.
"4 years, that was the last time I saw you," he explained so I looked at him suspiciously.
"Did you do this?" I asked but his eyes widened.
"No, god no. We were dating," he explained which instantly shocked me. If we were dating when I lost my memory why doesn't he hate me? "Well we were kind of dating." He explained so I sighed.
"You have until I get to my car to explain or I'm just leaving," I explained so he quickly nodded.
"We had been dating for 9 months, things were going great but on one of the hunts my brother accidentally got you stabbed. He didn't stick to the plan and you got hurt so you stormed off. You said you were hunting alone and was sick of it. I thought you were just angry and you'd come back but you never did," he explained so I raised an eyebrow. If that's true then that could have been the last thing I did before I lost my memory.

I couldn't remember hunting before them but creatures and demons kept coming after me and I had to learn how to defend myself. I thought it was normal until I had a very concerning conversation with a waitress. Sam walked with me to my car before stopping to look at me. I looked at him slightly confused. It's weird that I don't even remember this guy but he probably has seen me naked.
"Your wrist looks bad, I'm happy to drive you somewhere," he explained so I was a little sceptical. He could have easily made it up but I do need someone to drive since I can't change gears without my dominant hand. I nodded slightly before walking to the passenger seat. We climbed in as he smiled widely. "Maybe after we patch you up I could drive you to dinner?" He questioned shocking me slightly. I don't think he'd like me. He is very attractive but I'm probably completely different to who I was when we first met. One meal couldn't hurt?
