Trying to show Sam that you don't need him after he breaks up with you.

(993 WORDS)

I looked to Sam sadly, fighting my tears so he didn't think I was weak. It was obvious that I was broken but I didn't want him to see how much it hurt that he was breaking up with me. He looked like he stopped caring. I had suspicions that he was cheating on me but I didn't want to believe it, when he started acting distant I assumed he was just tired from work but it was getting harder to ignore when he was leaving and not telling me where he was going, he no longer left his phone unattended. I knew he was cheating when Dean called me. We've never met but I had his number for emergencies, he asked me why Sam was 20 minutes late. It was harmless except the motel isn't that far from me and he left 2 hours ago. This was my first time seeing him since the call. Biting my tongue for 2 weeks so I could talk to him in person.

He gave me a sad smile before turning to leave but I stopped him. He thought I was finally ready to say something since I had been silent the entire time. He looked to me, no love in his eyes. Like I was a stranger. It hurt more than knowing he had cheated. "Stay," I said softly. He was about to argue but I cut him off. "Collect your things, I want you gone before I get back," I explained and he looked a little hurt, like he hadn't just broke up with me. I was very dependant on Sam, he was my only reason to smile but I was determined to be stronger, to live happily without him. I walked passed him as I left, not hesitating for a second. I stayed strong as I walked to my car but as soon as the car door closed behind me I couldn't hold it in. The tears fell like it was their only mission, like bullets from my eyes soaking my cheeks instantly. I gave myself a minute as I thought. I couldn't stop crying and thinking of the only times Sam and I had together before I got angry.

If he doesn't seem to care then neither should eye. My eyes glistened with determination. I focused as I started driving, the fire inside me burning bright.

SAM'S POV:

I groaned as I closed the car door behind me, this case was tiring. Mentally and physically. My muscles aching. Dean was leading the way into the bar. Excited to celebrate the success. He wasn't beat as much so he looked fine, I however, had a black eye and busted lip but that's all you could see above the clothes. We sat at a booth and had our first drinks. I was ready to call it a night but Dean had other plans, shots came and they never stopped coming. After a while, I started having fun.

"I'm going to the bathroom," I exclaimed over the music so Dean shrugged me off as he continued drinking. My view was a little wobblying from the drinking. I made it to the bathroom and rested against the wall as I did my business. Pain no longer being a problem for me.

I walked out and noticed Dean wasn't in the booth. I looked around to see him smiling and chatting to some woman. She had her back to me but it was clear to see why he was talking to her, she had a thin waist and her ass looks amazing as she leans against the bar. Her thighs were bigger than I expected but if anything it made me want her more. Damn Dean for seeing her first! As I approached I heard them laughing. Once I was close enough Dean spotted me.

"Oh, this is my brother," He commented and she didn't turn around straight away. She chuckled and shock her head before turning. I only now recognised her, barely. There she was my ex Y/n. She looked completely different. Her hair no longer sat by her shoulders it flowed halfway down her back, a tattoo on the inside of her wrist. 'You boil my blood' surrounded with black veins, it was a cool tatto but I could never imagine it on her. She looked like she was glowing as she smiled. I thought I had made her happy but I had never seen her like this. She had lost the weight she was insecure about and wasn't hiding in large clothing. She had a skin tight body con on which was bright red, completely different from her usual grey and black wardrobe. She looked amazing.

"Hi, Sam," She greeted with a smirk.

"Hi, wow you look amazing," I stammered making her chuckle.

"Wish I could say the same," She replied and I felt selfconcious, I know I've skipped the gym a little but I didn't think it was noticeable. "Your blackeye," She explained making me realise and I nodded. "Well, have a nice night," She added before downing her drink and walking away, I couldn't help but watch her hips as she walked away. I was an idiot leaving her!

"Dude, nice cock block," Dean groaned hitting my chest with the back of his hand.

"That was my ex," I said simply staring at the door she had just left out of.

"No wonder you never let me meet her, I would have slept with her." He explained before turning to me. "Why'd you break up with her?" He added and I sighed.

"Because I cheated on her," I explained with deep regret in my tone.

"Dude, she's a straight ten out of ten, you better have cheated on her with a supermodel," He joked but I thought back. Regreting every second I wasted with her.
