Everyone gathers on the roof for kite flying. It was after years that there was kite flying in Jindal Bhavan on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The three brothers were nostalgic, reminiscing the old days. And as for the daughter-in-laws, it was their first time ever, after marriage, witnessing this in Jindal Bhavan. Savitri Devi was teary-eyed, unable to believe if it was the same Akshat, looking at his smiling face, as if her long-lost cheerful son was back. The men were flying the kites and the the women were holding the kite spool.

Anshu (stomping his feet) - Cheating, cheating, cheating! Sabki charkhi pakadne ke liye koi hai, bas mere liye koi nahi.

Savitri Devi (smiling) - Aare beta, main hun naa. Laa mujhe de. (Anshu excitedly hands her the kite spool)

Lakshmi (complaining to Savitri Devi) - Par Dadi, yeh galat baat hai. Hum sabko charkhi pakdakar yeh sab mazey se patang uda rahe hain. Humein bhi udaani hai patang.

Dadi (smiling) - Haan haan beta. Tu chinta mat kar. Mere hote koi bhed-bhao nahi hoga iss ghar mein. Tum log bhi udaoge patang, aur tab charkhi yeh log pakdenge. Thoda sabar kar.

Lakshmi (excitedly smiling) - Ji Dadi.

Akshat looks at Guddan, reminiscing her words, "Aapki jo yaadein hain Antaraji ke saath......... kya unhe yaad karke aap khush nahi ho sakte. Aap khushkismat hain ki aapke paas yaadein toh hain, warna kuch log toh aise bhi hote hain, jinke paas apno ko yaad karne ke liye yaadein tak nahi hoti." Her words were his strength today, to try to do things the way he used to do before, years back, the ways he had left. He had secluded himself in some dark corner, where nothing could reach him, not even his family, for the fear that past memories might haunt him. But Guddan made him realise that memories are meant to be celebrated, and not meant for being locked away. He could never find the strength all these years to face his memories, but Guddan's presence, her words gave him that much needed strength. His train of thoughts, were interrupted by Vardhaan's voice.

Vardhaan (teasing Rahul, laughing) - Sambhaalke Rahul. Katne waali hai teri patang.

Akshat (shouting) - Kya kar raha hai Rahul.
Khinch khinch.

Vikram (looking at Vardhaan, slow voice) - Aaj parajay nischit hai.

Vardhaan (chuckling) - Jab tak mere ideas khatam nahi hote, ummeed baki hai. Aap bas dekhte jao.

Vardhaan winks and signals Lakshmi. Lakshmi nods in "no". Vardhaan insists. Lakshmi agrees hesitantly.

Lakshmi (knowingly to distract Guddan) - Saasumaa cockroach!

Guddan shrieks in fear and drops the kite spool that she was holding. Akshat looks back. Guddan closes her eyes tightly, and jumps in fear, clutching Akshat's shirt. Everyone smile at her response.

Anshu (giggling) - Kya Bua, itni badi hoke ek chote se cockroach se darti ho.

Guddan opens her eyes and is embarrassed, as all the eyes are on her. She picks up the kite spool. Akshat looks up trying to locate his kite.

Akshat (puzzled) - Yeh meri patang kahin dikh hi nahi rahi.

Vardhaan (laughing) - Dikhegi kahan se Papa, kaat di maine aapki patang. Bas dor pakde ghuma rahe ho aap.

Everyone burst into laughter. Akshat gives Vardhaan a stern look. All the laughter vanish in a moment, everyone is scared how will Akshat react now. But to everyone's relief, he smiles.

Akshat (smiling) - Koi baat nahin Vardhaan, cheating karke tu ek baar jeet sakta hai, baar baar nahi. Ab dekh, ek bhi patang nahi bachegi teri.

Vardhaan - Thik hai. Challenge accepted, Papa. Iss baar no cheating. Ho jaaye ek direct competition, aapke aur mere beech.
