Guddan and Akshat - Made for Each Other

Chapter 38 - The Family Time

Next morning, Guddan wakes up hurriedly to check up on Akshat, to make sure he was comfortable and not in pain. Though the medicines were working, she had to make sure with her own eyes that he was alright. Relieved on seeing Akshat sleeping peacefully on the other side of the bed, she got up quickly and looked at the clock. It was 5.10 am. Quick to her feet, she turned off Akshat's alarm clock, set at 5.30 am. She sighed in relief at the thought that Akshat would not be unnecessarily disturbed and would get his due sleep.

As she turned her glance to Akshat, a lone tear found her way out of her eye. She was only alive because of him. How easily he wrote off his restaurant to that goon Rocky, only to save her life. She knew how much his restaurant meant to him, how dear it was to him, after all he and Antara had struggled so much to make it successful. And yet he didn't hesitate even for a moment to sacrifice it for her. He could have handled all the goons at once, but he let them beat him mercilessly, just for her sake. Thinking of this, she could no longer hold back her tears. A few drops fall on Akshat's cheeks and he wakes up. Guddan turns away her face, and quickly wipes her tears. But Akshat notices her tears that has fallen on his face.

Akshat (teasing tone, looking at the clock) - Aaj suraj kahan se nikla hai? Purab se toh nahi nikla hoga? Dekhna zara.

Guddan stays silent, composing herself and controlling her tears. Akshat tries to get up from the bed, but let's out a muffled cry, holding his injured shoulder. Guddan rushes to help him.

Guddan (worriedly) - Dhyaan se. Itni chott aayi hai. Ek raat mein thodi na thik ho jayega. (and she becomes silent again)

Akshat (knowingly to distract her) - Waise kal toh bada uchchal uchchal ke credit le rahi thhi. Aaj kya ho gaya, itni chup chaap, aaj credit nahi lena?

Guddan (sad smile) - Woh toh humne aise hi keh diya thha. Sab itne serious thhe na iss liye. Par sach toh yeh hai ki agar aap naa hote toh hum aaj zinda nahi hote.

Akshat (serious tone) - Nahin, mujhe pehle hi uss Rocky ko uski sahi jagah pahuncha dena chahiye thha. Meri galati hai ki usse tumhe chhot pahunchane ka ek aur mauka mila. (and he coughs a little) Pani..........

Guddan tries to pour water from the jug, only to find it empty. She rushes downstairs to get water. While hurriedly filling water, the jug slips from her hand. Hearing the noise, Savitri Devi comes into the kitchen.

Guddan (filling water in another jug) - Sorry Maaji. Subah subah aapko uthha diya.

Savitri Devi - Aare neend kahan aayi mujhe kal raat. Lalla thik toh hai na?

Guddan (walking towards the stairs) - Thik hain. Hum bas jaldi se unhe paani deke aate hain.

Savitri Devi nods. The three brothers also come out of their rooms, they had also woken up from the noise.

In the room upstairs, Guddan helps Akshat drink water. After sometime, the three brothers enter the room along with Savitri Devi. Akshat tries to speak something but Savitri Devi clearly replies before Akshat could utter a single word.

Savitri Devi (shaking her head in "no") - Naa! Bilkul Nahin.

Akshat - Par Maa, maine toh abhi tak kuch kaha bhi nahi.

Savitri Devi (stern voice) - Mujhe pata hai tu kya bolega. Maa hun teri. Ache se jaanti hun tujhe. (louder voice) Aur mera jawab naa hai. Jab tak tu puri tarah se thik nahi ho jaata, aur mera matlab tujhe thik lagne se nahi hai, jab tak doctor permission nahi de dete, tu iss ghar se bahar jaane ke baare mein sochna bhi mat.

Kishore - Papa, aap bilkul tension mat lijiye, restaurant ka kaam main aur Vardhaan ache se sambhaal lenge. (Before Akshat could open his mouth to say something) Koi gadbad nahi hogi Papa, pura dhyaan rakhenge hum. Promise.
