Casper's P.O.V

I watch the little girl from afar.

She is so beautiful, young, fresh and best of all she smells of royal blood.

But she's different. There's something about her that I can't seem to put my finger on but I've met her kind before. Years ago.

Except he was a bit older, that rude and stuck up old man. I really liked him. He was fun. He enjoyed the pain, sweat, blood, tears and destruction of his enemies as much as I did.

We were so very close as well, until those damn ancient werewolves came and destroyed everything.

"Come on Jordan!" one of the mutts yells in his annoying loud voice. "I still don't get why I should be the one going when Malcolm already wants to." The so called Jordan says to the mutt. Hm, compared to this Jordan mutt, the other one seems quite short.

I lean on my tree as I watch the car start to drive away.

As the car is driving I look through the windows and see the little girls staring right at me. My eyes involuntarily widen by an inch. She caught me off guard. Her stare is cold and threatening. I give her a sweet smile and a wave. She doesn't respond and just continues to stare at me.

Now I see why she seems so familiar. She's probably that old man's relative in some way because those eyes, those eyes pierce right through me. And it's been years since he went back to wherever he came from. I chuckle as I watch the car drive out of my sight, along with those eyes.

I close my eyes and picture the little girl in my head. I quickly send her image to the new Queen. Queen Lira so she can witness what it is I just witnessed herself.

'Is that, Rose?' she graces me with her melodic voice.

'Yes your highness, it seems like it is.' I reply.

'Where did you find her? Where is she?' she graces me again.

'Unfortunately your highness, she is with the Wood mutts and she seems rather fond of them.' I think back to her cold and threatening stare.

'I'm not worried by such trivial nonsense. She will learn and it's best we bend the rod while it's still bendable. Bring her to me Casper.' She commands, her voice becoming hard and compulsive. I have to obey.

'Yes your highness.' I say and open my eyes to the sun shining bright above me.

But that doesn't bother me. I walk straight into the light and begin my walk in search of the little girl.
