Parker's P.O.V

It's been two days since Dr. Martin's death and the police force haven't gotten back to me with regards to the safe. And with every passing hour I grow more restless. I haven't called in to check on how Alice and Alec are doing. I can't do anything to make things better for Alec and I can't help but feel bad, helpless and angry. Alec has been through so much for a kid and now he has to go through harder things because of Casper. Damn vampires.

"Parker you're shaking the table." Syris's voice brings me out of my bad mood temporarily. "What?" I blink my eyes, now remembering that I'm at the kitchen table and we are all eating breakfast. "Oh, sorry." I say and look down at my plate of food. "The food has gotten cold. Let me heat that up for you." Syris takes my plate and gets up to go heat it up. I give a small smile. "Thanks." I reply and sigh.

"You know, whatever it is you are stressing about won't get better with you just sitting there and making us eat our food uncomfortably." Malcolm looks at me with an annoyed face. I roll my eyes at this. "Yeah it won't, but it's really fun seeing you struggle with cutting that piece of toast." I smirk. Henry scoffs at Malcolm for this, while Malcolm glares at me. "I can eat my toast without cutting it for your information." He says. "Yeah but it will give you problems later." I shrug and fold my arms over my chest with a little smug pout.

"He seems to be back to normal now." Eden shoves a piece of toast in his mouth. I look to Syris to see how far he is with my food. I didn't seem to have to as he makes his way towards me with my plate and the food nice and hot. He places it down in front of me and starts eating his own food. "Thanks dude." I tell him and dig into my food. "Hn." He says, eating his food silently.

"I'm done." Rosie chimes and gets up from her seat across me. I watch her walk to the sink to place her plate. Rosie lately hasn't been eating much. She only drinks the blood given to her and a few things here and there. I'm starting to worry about her. She's a growing girl, even though she's technically half dead, she needs to eat a little bit more. "I'm going to my room for a while." She says and starts making her way towards the stairs. "Oh? Why don't you wait for us to finish and then we can do a puzzle together?" Syris smiles at her. She shakes her head. "I'll pass." She replies before running up to her room.

We all fall quiet and stare out in absolute shock. "She passes on puzzle now? What else will she pass on?" Syris asks no one in particular. "This is not like her. Somethings wrong." Syris continues. "It's puberty. They grow up so fast." Malcolm sniffles. "Too fast for my liking." George adds shoving food in his mouth. "She'll miss playing these games when she's older. She'll miss being young again." Eden sighs shaking her head. "How old is she anyway?" George asks. "She's 12." Syris answers.

"Just a week ago she was only 6. How time flies." Henry smirks at his own joke. Jordan groans. "Dude what the hell." He squints his eyes a bit. Henry just shrugs and grins.

They all started talking about the rate Rosie keeps growing and how she's not fully living out her teen years like a normal teenager. "She is supposed to be doing stuff girls her age normally do." Frank points out. "Yeah. Like going on sleepovers, meeting up with friends and having her first crush." Cameron starts listing things and the juice I was drinking suddenly went down the wrong pipe. I start coughing and hitting my chest. "Dude, what the hell?" Syris reaches over to slap my back so as to help me out.

I stop coughing and wipe off the juice on the mouth. "Sorry, went down the wrong pipe." I clear my throat and shift on my seat to sit properly. "Oh. Don't do it again. Made me worry over nothing." Syris sits back and continues eating. "As I was saying, having her first crush, her first kiss, her first failed relationship, fake friends. The list goes on really." Cameron continues. "But scrap the first kiss and relationship part. It's making me uneasy." Jordan frowns.
