Chapter 30: Spring Cleaning

Sqaishey's POV

"Stampy?" I yell out from the kitchen. He's on the computer, probably doing something for his videos.

"Yeah?" He calls out.

"The house really needs a clean up. I know it's not spring, but can we have a spring clean up?"

"No."

"What?" I say. Stampy's voice seems very serious.

"We can have a summer clean up, silly!" He says, laughing.

I laugh.

"You sounded really serious." I say, still laughing.

"You sounded really worried!" Stampy says.

"Ok, let's start by cleaning everything. Then we can do the baby's room tomorrow."

We walk to what now is a guest bedroom, but will soon be our child's bedroom.

We move the bed into John's old room, and then the two cabinets.

Then, Stampy cleans out our bedroom, while I do the kitchen and the living room.

"Sqaishey, you should rest, the baby's due in a week!" Stampy says when I'm finished the two rooms.

"No, I want to help."I say.

"No, I don't want you to." Stampy says, sitting me down, and turning on the TV.

I'm sick of take it easy. But Stampy is starting to feel a bit jittery, as the baby's birth is so close.

I watch TV for about an hour, until Stampy comes in, looking very worn out and tired.

"I should've helped." I say.

"No, I'm glad you didn't."

We sit together watching TV, as it starts to get dark.

"The baby's coming so soon." I say.

"A week, and then we won't have our peaceful lives anymore."

"But it'll be worth it." I add.

Little did I know we had less than a week of our peaceful lives left.
