Day two passed by relatively quickly, Night spending most of his time snoozing away under the protection of the tree that gave him life. Mare napped on the branch above him for most of the day.
During those naps, Mare taught Night French and they talked about their lives. Mare didn't expect Night to light up though when he mentioned he lived in a castle.
It must've been the way his eyes lit up or how excited he sounded that made Mare answer his every question. Night only grew more interested with each word, especially when Mare finally brought up his gang.
"Let's see, who to start with.... ah, Error, I'll start with him. Error is a glitch, he doesn't like being touched but he's kinda lovey dovey for your brother's friend."
Night perked, "You mean Ink?"
"No, I'm talking about the fucking trash can."
A giggle left Night, "Okay, who else is there."
"Killer... he's quiet most of the time, naps when he isn't on a mission."
"Is he friendly?"
"Sometimes..."
Night tilted his head at that but shook it off, "Anyone else?"
"Well, there's Dust and Horror, I think they're both in a relationship with Killer but it doesn't really matter to me. The two are smart on their own but when put in the same room they seem to share one braincell."
Night couldn't help but to snort, laughing softy. "It can't be that bad." Night coughed through broken giggles.
Mare looked Night in the eyes, "The fuckers thought it would be smart to season dinner with fire ashes to give it a 'smokey' flavor."
Night went silent before bursting into a raging fit of laughter.
Mare chuckled, finding Night's laughter contagious. Though soon enough both of them became encumbered when Night tried to speak during his fit of laughter, only to accidentally let out a squealish noise.
The laughter took forever to calm, both of them clutching their stomachs as the choked laughter finally died.
Though during the fits of laughter, Mare had shifted to his original form. A now goopy black skeleton in place of the small and fluffy obsidian cat.
Night starred at him with amazement, looking over him. "Whoa... is that what you actually look like?"
Mare stopped to look at himself before nodding, "Yes, this is what I look like. Scary huh?"
Night shook his head, glancing over every part of him, from the four black tendrils that were attached to his back to the color of Mare's eye.
Night's eyes had changed to stars in the little amount of time he spent looking over Mare. "Hardly, in fact I think you look very beautiful." He spoke shamelessly, still enraptured in Mare's appearance to care.
Mare almost sputtered over his words, "Beautiful..?" He sounded unsure of himself.
Night nodded, "Yeah!" A bright grin plastered to his face.
Mare felt his face heat up and he turned his head away from Night, pushing his face away with a tendril causing the latter to let our a cry.
Night huffed, grabbing hold of the slimy appendage before biting onto it causing Mare to look at him. "The hell are you doing?" Night's starry eyes met Mare's as he bit down harder.
Mare gave an expression of confusion before a smirk dragged along his face as he let go of control. The tendril instantly curled in Night's mouth causing him to yelp and let go.
Mare hummed, "How'd that taste?"
"Kinda like choco milk mixed with strawberries..?" Night hummed a bit, "Addicting, now gimme!"
Mare shook his head with an amused chuckle, lifting his tendrils out of Night's reach. "Nope."
A playful whine left Night's throat but Mare simply patted him on the head to shut him up.

Dream watched his brother sleep, finding it funny how he'd randomly mumble soft words in his sleep. Right now he'd been mumbling things in French for a good hour but that would soon change.
He started to mumble other words until one caught Dream's attention like a fish on a hook. It was mumbled softer than the rest, hardly loud enough for him to hear.
Beautiful.
So many things crossed Dream's mind in a matter of three seconds and he did a double take. Night thought someone was beautiful...
Who? When did this happen? Is his older brother crushing on someone? Why hadn't he mentioned them? Where they a villager or someone in the woods?
Dream slowly began to grow concerned off his brother, stopping his thought process to see the black cat that Night had brought to the tree with him climbing down. When it's paws reached the soft and lush grass it instantly climbed onto his brother, curling up on his chest.
Could his brother be talking about the cat? Maybe... seeing as his brother's hand moved to rest itself on the feline.
Surely it was the feline. Dream's relationship with Ink must just be romanticizing his life, speaking of which... Ink would be visiting in a few days.
He wondered how Night and Ink would get along? Maybe they'd get along well, although he should probably tell Night about Ink being his lover.
Ah, he'll just tell him when Ink comes over.

"Sooo... you and your friends are the bad guys?" Night hummed, kicking his feet mindlessly as he sat in a large oak, the dreamscape was a lovely place.
Mare looked up at him, "Yep, why?"
"Well, I've kinda wondered what'd it be like to actually be a bad guy." Night inquired, jumping down from the branch before plopping himself next to Mare.
"For starters, you're the one beating up people and not the other way around." Mare replied.
Night thought back to the boy he killed. Mare mentioned that he deserved what he got for trying to do such a horrendous act. In fact, Night felt good that he'd had done it, considering that was one of his main beaters.
He didn't feel regret for killing anymore, he felt unadulterated pride.
"That doesn't sound to bad..."
