Night glanced up towards the balcony of the library, sighing quietly at the sound of yelling and fighting.
He looked back to Vega and Anti, watching the two play before looking to his brother. He easily noted the nervous look on his brother's face, able to feel the negativity seeping off him.
He placed a hand on his shoulder, catching Dream's attention. "I'm fine..." Dream muttered, "Just not used to being here still."
Night smiled reassuringly, "It's more than that, I know it is. I can assure you, meetings are often like this and people come here for safety."
Dream frowned, "I see that, but it's odd to me... people coming here for safety? I never imagined such a thing... and how do others know this place but not Ink or I?"
Anti perked up slightly, sighing slightly at how naive Dream actually was. "Many of us come from destroyed or collapsed AUs, or they're seen as evil. Virus, for example, he's viewed as a bad person when in reality, he's just a sweetheart."
Night smiled and nodded in agreement, "Yeah, a lot of people are wrongly accused and that leads to this place being their bunker. There are many more people that call this place home, lots of which have never done anything wrong."
Dream frowned, looking down at the floor, his fingers tracing the carpet they all sat on. "I never knew..."
"You weren't supposed to Dream," Night butted gently, "but now you do, this is neutral ground. You're welcomed here."
Dream smiled softly before frowning, "But... what about Ink?"
"This is a common occurrence..." Anti sighed, watching as Vega waddled towards Night, nearly falling on top of him. The skeleton only chuckled as he caught her before promptly lifting her in the air.
"Ink picks fights, mainly with people who have destructive abilities." Anti continued, "this normally happens when his vials become empty."
Dream tilted his head slightly in confusion, "Vials? Those little paint holders?"
"Yeah..." Anti tilted his head in return, "You've never seen him use one?"
Dream shook his head, "No, I haven't, I always assumed they were some sort of special attack..."
Night perked up, looking at his brother with a frown, "Dream... those aren't special attacks, they're his emotions."
"What?"
Anti hummed and nodded, "Ink is soulless, those paint vials act as an artificial soul of sorts."
The darker skeleton nodded, settling Vega in his lap who had grabbed his crown. "The only reason he wouldn't need to take them is because he's affected by our auras."
Dream let out a whine at that, "He never told me that."
Night sighed and pulled his younger brother over to him carefully, letting him lean on him. "Maybe he just wasn't ready... I'm sorry you had to hear this from us."
Vega was the one to perk at Dream's sad expression, "Mr. Dream! Don't be sad!" She let go of Night's crown, reaching for the younger brother.
Dream smiled a tad, carefully taking Vega and placing her in his lap, to which he was quickly hugged by the little girl. Night and Anti both shared a smile as Dream carefully returned the hug.
A loud crash made everyone flinch and a loud voice followed, "Who the fuck made you boss? Because Nightmare's right there!" Error...
"Boss has been quiet this entire meeting, I'm just voicing my opinions you cuck!" Ah, there's Horror.
