The moon was finally being covered by clouds and small snowflakes began to liter the trees and ground. Whispering gentle songs of coming calls of the wildlife and mother nature herself.

Twas the bare oak tree that reported the coming of the blizzard, heavy wind blowing through its naked branches as it rest in front of the dark castle. A few branches snapped.

It was then, as the last animal hid in the warmth and safety of their home that the snow began to fall. The unique patterns, too small to see yourself, gliding through the the air before hitting the ground to rest with their kin.

Night shivered a bit at how cold it had gotten after he got out of the shower. His body trembling a bit as water stuck to his pristine white bones. He was quick to wrap a towel around himself, the slightly bit of warmth returning to him.

He began to dry himself off only to pause when there was a soft knock. He smiled softly, "Who's there?"

"Who else would it be?" Mare hummed from the other side of the door. There was a soft bit of silence, "Thank you for dinner by the way... it was great."

Night giggled a bit and opened the door for Mare, going back to drying himself, "It's no problem Kitty, I was happy to cook."

Mare smiled a bit before gently frowning, "Puppy, I want to ask you something."

Night hummed in question, his eyes meeting Mare's single eyelight. "Yes?"

"I know you said you've always wanted kids... but would you consider wanting kids with me?" Mare fidgeted, his body naturally attempting to hide his nervousness. His tendrils flicking with agitation behind him.

Night paused and seemed to think for a moment, his face holding an unreadable expression. Mare didn't need his expression to tell what he was feeling though, confusion and a sliver of excitement was enough to make him perk.

"Mare, I'm not sure what intrigued yo to ask this but of course I would." Night smiled softly, almost dropping his towel as he grabbed of Mare's hand. "I would love to have a family with you, I love you after all."

Mare felt his soul melt at Night's words, a smile etching his face. "I.. I love you too."

Night softened, pulling Mare down to his level a bit before getting on his tip toes. He pressed their teeth together in a soft kiss, Mare kissed back without hesitation. But, it was Night who pulled back.

"I'm still not sure if I can handle sex yet." Night confessed, looking down as he pulled his hand away. He brought his hands to his chest.

This time, Mare gabbed his hands with a gentle yet firm grip. "That's fine, I have an idea that may help."

Night looked up at him with interest and gentle confusion, "What would that be?"

"The stop-light system. Colors attached to words." Mare paused as he watched Night's head tilt a bit in curiosity, "Green means 'go', yellow means 'slow down', and red means 'stop'."

Night smiled softly, "You think that'll help?"

Mare nodded, "It'll give you a chance to go at your own pace and I thought it might be easier to get a color coded system instead of you actually telling me to slow down. It'll be easier for you to tell me no."

Night began to tear up. Not once had he felt someone consider him so much, it was overwhelming to him. He began to cry.

Mare jumped in surprise and he pulled Night to his chest, "Puppy, what are you crying for?"

"I'm just... you're so nice to me. I don't deserve it! I don't deserve all of this.." Night's voice dropped to a weak mumble.

Mare frowned slightly before backing Night up against the counter slightly, he leaned forward to catch Night's teeth with his. Night froze against him before relaxing, kissing back with a gentle push.

Mare's hand moved from Night's, instead moving the grazed the smaller's ribs. Night let out a soft gasp and Mare immediately took his chance, his tongue curling around Night's without hesitation.

Night made no move to stop him, his hands grabbing hold of Mare's shoulder. Mare's hands only continued to the rub Night's ribs before he pulled back.

A small strand of saliva breaking between them. "W..What was that about?"

"I wanted to distract you..." Mare mumbled softly before wrapping his arms around Night's waist, "you deserve everything you're getting, you know that."

Night could only smile, nestling his face into Mare's chest gently. "I love you so much."

Mare rumbled, kissing Night's head. "I love you too."

"Are you alright?" Shattered questioned the other, frowning a bit at the exhausted expression of his face.

"I'm fine," Dream spoke quietly as he curled into the couch. "Just tired and a bit nauseous."

Shattered tilted his head, moving to sit beside him. "Is that all?"

Dream huffed, "My pelvis is cramping and I've got the worst headache imaginable."

"So normal pregnancy symptoms, at least you're coming along well." Shattered sighed slightly and Dream perked up.

"You knew?"

The taller nodded, "It's hard to keep secrets from me Dream, I know practically everything."

Dream frowned slightly and looked away, "I'm sorry.."

Shattered perked, "For what?"

"For leaving you like that!" Dream burst out, "I didn't mean to leave you behind..."

"Oh... Dreamy..." Shattered frowned, carefully pulling the smaller to his side before rubbing his head. Dream leaned towards his hand, "I'm here, I always be here with you, you could never leave me behind."
