Mare kept one of his tendrils wrapped around Night's arm protectively, two other tendrils holding open a portal.
"You all ready to go?" Mare questioned the five idiots and one bean.
"Yeah! Lets go, I got a plan to go grab some tacos!" Cross grinned brightly.
Mare nodded, pulling the portal open wider, letting his five go though first, he looked to Night who seemed rather hesitant.
"Something wrong?" Mare questioned softly, his tone holding sincere worry.
Night's eyes focused on the portal, "Nothing... but, could you walk thought it with me?"
Mare smiled a bit at Night's nervousness, "Of course I can." Before Mare could even think of an approach, Night's hand grabbed hold of his. His grip was tight but gentle, Mare only gave his hand a soft squeeze before leading him through the portal.
Night's eyes widened as they made it to the peaceful AU, starring like a deer in the headlights are the large builds. He'd heard of buildings this tall from his brother and books but seeing it himself... it's incredible.
He seems lost in the moment until Mare tugs at his hand. He snaps out of his daze, smiling brightly at him before beginning to walk.
Night looks around at anything that catches his eye, mainly the cars driving down the rode. The village he lives by is small enough to walk, so he'd never seen a car in real life before.
His smile only grew bigger before he looked to Mare, "So where are we going?"
Mare hummed softly, "We're going to get something to eat before going to the store. Do you need to eat?"
"No, I've only eaten a few things throughout my life, not counting the food Miss Tori gives me." Night replied.
Mare sighed at that, of course those bastards wouldn't give him much food. They were lucky enough that Night didn't need to eat in order to survive.
"Well," Mare sighs gently, "lets have you try something new. When you get here, order whatever you'd like, the idiots go all out anyway."
Night frowned a bit but nodded slightly in agreement, though it was allowed he didn't feel like he should go all out... maybe just one thing.
Yeah, just one thing.
As the five entered the diner they were quickly seated to a table; Horror, Dust, and Killer on one side and Cross, Error, Night, and Mare on the other.
The waiter dropped off the menus and asked them what the wanted to drink, Night panicked and said water. Mare took in the fact that he looked very nervous during all that, social anxiety most likely, a distraction from the people around will help.
"So Night," Killer hummed slightly, "your brother's got that staff that turns into a bow... what do you have?"
Night seemed to perk at that question, "I have a staff too... I'm not as good at summoning it as Dream though, or transforming it."
Dust grinned a bit, sipping his coffee lazily. "Oh? Well, indulge us on the weapon it becomes would you?"
"Oh... well it turns into two Falchion swords..."
"Falchion swords?" Killer tilted his head.
Cross hummed slightly, "A Falchion is a one handed, single-edged sword, very useful for duel-welding. They're light weight, unlike a machete that they're commonly compared to, and are build for quick slashing. They're mostly used by the nobility and mounted knights."
"Leave it to Cross to know everything about a sharp weapon." Mare chuckled, tendrils flicking softly.
"Hey, shut up, some of us have hobbies."
"I have hobbies."
Error quickly piped up, "Murder isn't a hobby Nightmare."
"I don't believe I asked for your opinion, Error."
"I know, I was giving it out for free."
Night attempted to hold back a giggle only to snort. The small skeleton froze as the table collectively starred at him before bursting out into fits of uncontrollable laughter. Night soon joined them with a giggly and bright laugh, smiling brightly.
It wasn't long until the waiter returned, their giggling fit still drawing out as they ordered their food. Seeing how big the portions of food were, Mare offered they split something.
Night agreed happily and the two ended up sharing a Strawberry Shortcake, which Night had never tried.
Their conversation continued, playfully.
"Anywho," Error huffed, "we need to discuss some matters."
Cross's face went sour and Night frowned, "Yes, yes we do."
Night let out a silent whine when he noticed everyones glare towards the three on the opposite side.
A grin spread across Dust's face and he rest his head on his hand, "Do you guys know what he's talking about?"
"Nope!" Horror popped the 'p' with a sly smirk.
Killer leaned back, draping his arm over Dust's shoulders, "No clue."
Cross growled, shooting up from his seat and pointing at the accusingly, "Bullshit!"
Mare snarled, glaring at the trio's shit-eating grins. "Don't play stupid."
"Whatever are you talking about?" Dust purred.
Cross sneered and glared, "We heard those fucking moans Dust..."
"Wait wait wait- What moans?" Error cut in, "These bastards ate my fucking chocolate!"
Mare paused, starring at the two. "Damn, I was talking about the fact that these three idiots snuck a wolf into the castle."
"Excuse me?" Cross turned to Mare like he'd grown another head before turning to the trio, "Is that true?"
Horror piped in instantly, "Yes! And his name is Peewee!"
Night looked at them all dumbfounded, "Who names a wolf Peewee?"
"Who the fuck names their child Night?" Dust shot back.
Night looked him dead in the eye sockets, "A tree."
