A long sigh left Mare's mouth, his bright cyan eye locked on the beautiful blue flower in front of him. His eye glanced around his room, landing on the other side of his bed... Night's side.

He'd yet to fix the pillows on that side, only slight moved from their original position from when he sprawled out in his sleep.

The memory of there only night spent together was something that Mare clung to, almost longingly... no. Not almost... most definitely. He couldn't explain it, he barely even knew Night. So why? Why the hell did he feel this way?

He looked back to the flower and growled at himself. Finally he raised his hand, tapping on of the petals with a ghost like touch. The flower brighten at the touch and the sound of Night's voice echoed through the room.

A whispered hush of the small skeleton's voice, seeming to hold every secret the multiverse had to offer yet the words spoken were the complete opposite, playful and holding a sweet yet mocking tone. "You're such a sweet little kitty."

Mare didn't respond at first, registering the words he just heard. They surprised him, not expecting such a choice of words, and even more of a surprise... he was blushing. The feeling of his face heating up was enough to confirm it and then he came to the realization.

He was attracted to Night... he was in love with him. He cursed at himself for it. "Not love," Mare hissed to himself, "it can't be... it has to be something else!"

He wanted to blame something else, like his sadism but the thought of hurting Night my his nonexistent stomach turn like he was going to vomit. He would never do anything to harm Night, he wanted him to be safe and cared for-

Damn it! He really was in love. He hated it, positivity like this, he knew it wouldn't last, he hoped it wouldn't last... but...

The thought of leaving Night like that made him want to cry, something he would never admit. He was confused, he hated this feeling but loved it at the same time. It was a warm feeling but it could immediately turn cold, it was addictive.

He glanced back to Night's side of the bed and sighed, "Not now..." He shook his head, patting down his body with his tendrils to recollect himself, "Certainly not now."

Huffing, he hid his face into his hands. "I'm such an idiot... what is it that's got me like this?" He paused, as if answering his own question, "Fuck, what about him doesn't have me like this?"

Another pause.

"Just the damn thought of him... brother was right, I'm a gay disaster." Mare could almost hear Shattered's mocking laughter.

Mare only sighed for the third time that night, finally deciding to call it in a head to bed. Throwing on his night clothes and getting in his warm bed.

The only difference is that Mare clung to Night's pillow the entire night through.

Dream sighed, kicking his legs as he sat next to Ink, looking at the ground. He glanced to the artist, noting his emotionless expression he held when he thought no one was looking.

That was a thing about Ink... at times he seemed emotionally distant or even completely emotionless. It was unnerving at times but he accepted it as apart of Ink.

The sudden sound of a portal opening caught the attention of both Dream and Ink, their eyes zipping to face the two new skeletons. Both very familiar but only one stayed, the other leaving with a glitched goodbye.

Dream smiled at the sight of his friend, "Blue! You're a bit late, everything alright?"

Blue perked at the question and smiles innocently, "No no, everything's fine, my boyfriend just needed some help this morning with his shower."

Dream tilted his head, "Pregnancy taking that big of a toll?"

Blue shook his head with a smile, "Hardly, he just didn't want me to leave, he's a bit more clingy now."

"Well, speaking of your boyfriend," Ink butted in, "when can we meet him?"

Blue huffed, "Until he's comfortable with meeting you guys, I'm not gonna force him into doing something he doesn't want to."

"Well still, I find it a bit weird the our enemy knows you better than Dream or I do." Ink huffed back, challengingly.

"Error's not an enemy, maybe like a frenemy but not enemy." Blue countered.

"How does Error even know your boyfriend, Blue?" Dream questioned.

Blue shrugged, "I'm not sure, I know that they're close friends because of someone else but Error's the one that introduced us."

Dream nodded, satisfied with the response but Ink wanted one more question, "So... does that mean you and Error are friends?"

Blue wanted to glare, "So what if it does, I don't believe I gave you control over my social life."

Dream perked up and immediately butted between the two, "Okay, that's enough, let's stop before we say something we regret."

The two agreed and refused to speak full sentences to the other for the rest of the meeting.

(Take a guess at who Blue's boyfriend is.
Go ahead.
I fuckin' dare ya.)
