"I want a baby." His words were a bit empty, holding ulterior motivation, something the other failed to pick up.

"You what?" He needed to ask, to be sure he heard his partner correctly.

"A baby," He spoke a bit louder to be sure the other understood, "I want a baby."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes."

~*~*~

"Are you sure about this?"

Night pouted slightly at Mare's worried tone, looking up to face him. "It'll be fine, you'll be with me after all. Besides, I'd like to try and see my brother, it's been a while."

"Alright," Mare sighed before leaning down, nuzzling Night's shoulder causing the smaller to giggle. "But I'm decapitating anyone who tries anything with you."

Night huffed, "No decapitating! Defenestration or slight maiming is allowed, you know better."

Mare growled but it died into a grumble, "Fine."

Night smiled softly, giving Mare a soft kiss on the head. "Good Kitty."

Mare lifted himself back up after that with a small smile, happy with the praise. Once the smile disappeared he opened the portal and led Night through.

The change of light was no surprise, Night having been used to eternal night, was not much of a fan. He only glanced around, smiling at the fact the appeared just under the tree.

Mare hummed slightly, reaching up to one of the black apples. Night only watched as a faint smile graced Mare's face before he pulled his hand back. "You're fond of those apples Mare?" Night asked softly.

Mare nodded, "Very, without them I wouldn't have you."

Night could only blush and look away, not exactly understanding the deeper meaning to Mare's words but excepting it nonetheless. "Are you ready to go then?"

"We're only here to get ingredients for a few pies, nothing more?"

Night giggled and began walking towards town, "Maybe a few other things."

Mare chuckled, taking Night's hand into his own. Night only smiled up at him.

The two walked to town, hand in hand, Night immediately perking up excitedly at the sight of new shops littered on the streets. "Looks like we came at the right time, must be harvest."

"Harvest huh? Let's grab some more stuff then." Mare hummed and Night nodded.

"Let's focus on the pies though." Night giggled.

-*-*-

The two got what they needed. Mare carrying most of the bags with the help of his tendrils while Night only carried two, both of them leaving a hand open to keep their hands attached.

Night wanted to make one more stop by the flower shop, he wanted to visit someone and possibly get a few flowers while he was at it.

"Are you staying outside?" Night smiled up at Mare gently as he handed him the bags.

The taller nodded, "Yeah, if you need me, just say my name."

Night nodded sweetly before walking inside, flinching slightly at the sound of the bell. He walked up to the counter to be quickly greeted by Cindy.

"Night! It's been a while." Her voice was calm and sweet.

Night smiled, "It has, how are your boys?"

"Olly's doing great, he's with Jack at the moment. Nick could be doing better... he regrets what he did I can tell you that much." She spoke.

Night shivered a tad at the memory, "I'm glad he regrets it... Actually, I'd like to talk to him for a bit."

Cindy paused, starring at Night in surprise, "Are you sure?"

Night nodded gently, leaning onto the counter slightly. Cindy sighed but nodded before walking to the back.

There was a small conversation, words muffled behind the wall and soon enough, Nick walked in. His head tilted down in guilt, Night could feel the regret bouncing off him in strong waves. He glanced at Mare outside and could tell he felt it too.

"Mr. Night.." Nick started off but Night raised his hand to cut him off by raising his hand.

"I forgive you."

"Huh?"

"I forgive you Nick." Night smiled at him gently.

Nick was caught off guard, he didn't know what to say. He could only look at Night is slight shock before looking down. Another wave of guilt. "You don't have to.."

Night smiled softly, "I don't have to but I want to."

"W...Why?" Nick eyed Night slightly, gentle curiosity.

Night only giggled a bit, "Forgiving people helps you move on, if I can't forgive someone than I am guilty myself."

"But you're not guilty!" Night jumped at his outburst. "It's my fault, I hurt you!"

"That may be so but compared to me, you are a child. You hardly know right from wrong and your morals have yet to sink in. I'm not giving you a pass for being young but because you feel guilty." Night hummed softly with the same smile he carried through. "You know what you did was wrong and it hurts you, I know you've learned your lesson Nick."

Nick smiled a bit, weak but genuine and happy, and then... he began to cry. Night only tilted his head sympathetically. "Come on, there's no reason to shed tears."

Nick only hiccuped a sob, "You're so damn kind, you know that? I can't believe someone like you exist."

Night was about to respond when the sudden sound of muffled voices caught both of their attention. Night hummed, "Looks like you have a few people in the back, before I go, I need a few Four O'clocks seeds."

Nick raised a brow, his boy somewhat relaxed. "Four O'clocks this late in the year?"

"We've got a perfect window, right in line with the moon. It's a perfect spot for them." Night smiled.

Nick nodded and walked towards the back, nodding to someone who was walking out. A certain familiar someone.

Night's eyes glanced over them, eyeing the changes before pausing and going wide eyed. "Dream?"

Dream froze at the sound of his brother's voice, facing Night with a scared expression. For some reason he immediately went the cover his ecto-body even when he was fully clothed. Night frowned and approached him.

"Dreamy...? Your ecto.."

"It's not what.."

Night cut him off, "Are you pregnant?"

Dream paused and looked at Night with surprised but smiled, "You're always on point when it comes to me."

"Of course," Night grinned, "I'm your big brother after all. Who's is it?"

"Ink's," Dream smiled a bit but frowned.

Night took notice, "Why isn't he with you?"

"I honestly don't know where he is Nighty, but where ever he is I hope he's safe."

Night nodded softly, "Do you have a place to stay?"

Dream perked at bit, "No."

"A good source of food?"

"No..."

Night frowned, "Dream." Dream opened his mouth to speak up but Night cut him off. "Why don't you live with the gang and I until Ink comes back?"

"A..Are you sure that's a good idea?"

Night grinned, "Of course."
