CHAPTER FIVE
"Huh? I mean- uh-" Nagpanic ako pagkatapos kong ma realize ang ginawa ko.
Tumawa siya ng napakalakas kaya kinurot ko ang tagiliran niya.
"Aray!" Sigaw niya matapos ko siyang kurutin. "Wala ng bawian." Mayabang na sabi niya sa'kin.
I'm doomed.
"I was caught offguard." Palusot ko.
"Really? Offguard? Eh, dalawang beses nga kitang tinanong." Natatawang sabi niya. Gustong-gusto niya talaga akong bwisitin.
Hindi na lang ako sumagot at ibinaling ko nalang ang tingin ko sa langit.
"Ang ganda, noh?" Sabi ko na hindi lumilingon.
"Sobra." Sagot niya naman kaya nilingon ko siya at nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang makitang nakatingin siya sa'kin.
"Stars. Stars 'yung tinutukoy ko." Nahihiyang sabi ko at tinuturo pa kunwari ang mga bituin.
He chuckled.
"I didn't say anything." He tried not to stifle a smile.
Hindi na ako sumagot at uminom nalang sa basong hawak ko.
When I'm in a peaceful place like this, I forget my problems for a moment. Parang unti-unting gumagaan ang pakiramdam ko. I thought I'm never going to be okay but seeing myself now, I know someday I'm going to be. Atleast, I still know how to smile and laugh. That's what matters.

Nakatingin si EJ sa'kin habang kumakanta at nagigitara. His voice is calming and comforting. I scooted over him for warmth. He wrapped his arms around me while strumming the guitar. Hindi ko namalayang nakatulog na pala ako sa ganoong posisyon. I had a peaceful sleep.
When I woke up, nasa loob na ako ng sasakyan ni EJ. I immediately checked my phone. It's already 12 am. Nasaan ba si EJ? I'll just text him.

After I sent the message, I heard a vibration. When I checked the car, nandoon ang cellphone niya. This dumbass. Bumaba ako ng sasakyan to look for him pero pagbaba ko nakita ko siyang nakatingala sa langit at sinuot niya ang hood sa white hoodie jacket niya. I sat beside him at nagulat siya ng bahagya.
"Oh, gising ka na pala." Bungad niya sa'kin.
"Obvious ba?" Sarkastikong tanong ko sa kanya at natawa lang siya.
