CHAPTER TEN

I woke up late that morning. Ang bigat ng pakiramdam ko na para bang pinagsiklaban ako ng langit at lupa. I sighed before getting up and went straight to the bathroom.

I wore a white one-piece swimsuit partnered with a high-waisted maong shorts. I went out of the room and was startled to see EJ outside holding a small bouquet with a huge smile plastered on his face.

I smiled warmly at him and he handed me the flowers.

"Flowers for my first love." 

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi niya. First love? Me? How?

"F-first love?" I asked shyly.

He chuckled and his eyes met mine. 

"You are my first love." He said. "Hopefully the last." He whispered underneath his breath but I still heard it because we are so close to each other. I pretended that I didn't heard it and just thanked him for the flowers. 

As usual, we ate breakfast together. We talked about our plans for the day and he said we are going someplace private. I nodded as an agreement. 

As I was about to enter my room, my phone rang.

It's Liam.

I sighed heavily before answering his call.

"Hello?" 

["I'm here in Bohol. Can we talk?"]

"What?!" I entered my room and sat down on my bed.

["We need to talk, sweetie."] His voice sounded soft.

"What for Liam?" My brows furrowed.

["Look, I made a mistake. Please give me another chance."] I heard him sigh. ["Please, Gab."] He pleaded.

"Yes. You made a mistake, it was your choice. You chose to break my heart and made me feel pathetic. Liam, nandito ako ngayon because I wanted to forget about the pain. Please, I don't want to see you." I ended the call and wiped the tears on my face. 

Parte ba ng pagmo-move on ang galit? Parang unti-unting napapalitan ang sakit na nararamdaman ko ng galit. 

I disregarded my mind bombarded with unwanted thoughts and just grabbed my bag to head out. I saw Elijah looking at the sea na parang ang lalim ng iniisip niya. Tinatangay ng hangin ang buhok niya and he looked so handsome with his sunglasses. I secretly took a picture of him, his back facing me.
