CHAPTER ELEVEN
After talking with Liam on the balcony, I excused myself to freshen up from the trip.
Pagkatapos kong maligo ay dumapa ako sa higaan at iniisip ko ang pinag-usapan namin ni Liam kanina.
I'm glad that we had a closure and that we are still in good terms. It felt great to let everything out. I felt free.
Bigla ko nalang naisip ang reaksyon ni EJ kanina. The look on his face screamed annoyance. Or am I just thinking things? Should I send him a message?
Napagdesisyonan kong matulog nalang dahil pagod ako.
The next day, I woke up around noon. After eating breakfast, I went straight to the garden to water the plants. That day is just a normal day, but, something's missing.
It has been over a week since Elijah and I saw each other. Aaminin ko, na-miss ko siya.
After dinner with Abuela ay nagpaalam ako na may pupuntahan. I went up to my room to change my clothes. I wore a black leggings, white hoodie and slip-on slippers.
I drove to this place perfect for stargazing. The ambiance here is nice but it doesn't feel the same when I'm with EJ. I miss his presence. I miss our deep, meaningful talks. I miss his humor.
Niyakap ko ang sarili ko habang nakatingala sa mga bituing kumukutikutitap. I didn't realize that I already shed a tear. Are these tears of joy or the latter?
Napaurong sa pagtulo ang aking luha nang may napansin akong tao sa likod ako. Binalot ako nang takot ngunit nawala 'yun nang humarap ako sa tao at nakita ko si EJ. Bigla kong pinunasan ang mga luha sa pisngi ko at tinalikuran ko siya.
Why the hell is he here?
"Gabbi." Malambing na sabi niya.
I turned around to face him with tears streaming down my face. Ba't ba naiiyak ako?
"Hey." He moved closer towards me and wiped my tears using his thumb. I moved his hand away from my face and stepped backwards. Miss ko siya ngunit galit ako sa kanya. Naalala ko kasi ang sinabi niyang siya ang 'constant' ko pero hindi ko siya nakita for a week. Nasaan ang constant doon? Gago 'to!
I walked towards my car ngunit hinatak ako ni EJ pabalik sa kanya.
"Let go." Seryosong sabi ko ngunit hindi niya binitawan ang kamay ko.
"Did I do something wrong, Gabbi?"
"Wala."
"I know when you're lying. Please tell me what's wrong." Pagmamakaawa niya.
