'Stop the car.' 'Why?'
'That's my dad's car.. he never visits me,' I explain. 'Maybe this is the family time he mentioned?'
'No.. look at those black cars there and there,' I point them out, 'Those aren't normally there.'
'They got Levi already why would they be here?' 'He could have escaped, the place isn't a big deal, like the security is high, but it isn't impossible,' I sigh, 'But usually they leave whoever escaped alone after that.. since they got out.'

'Won't that fuck with the records and stuff?' He replies confused.
'Since they want to lock people up fast and quickly nothing gets noted down, they just put threads behind barbed wire to safe the world or whatever.'

It takes me a few seconds to realise what's going on.

'They're here for me,' I mumble.
'What do you mean?'
'My visit with Levi.. didn't go particular well, they must have watched the tapes.'

I slam my hand down on the seat next to me.

'Hey! My car!' 'I'm so stupid!
I betrayed him for freedom and now they're still taking it from me.. or at least beat me up pretty bad.'
'Are you going to be okay?'

I look outside the window again.
There were three cars waiting for me.

'I don't know, don't come from me.'
'You're our only way to get to Levi..'
'I will get him out.. no matter what. Even if I can't walk I'll still get him out.' 'I'll support you okay?'
'Gray?' 'Hm?'

I turn to him.

'I missed you so much.'

A smile appears on his face as he moves to the gap between the seats, signs me to come closer and folds his hands around mine. Our foreheads are pressed against eachother.

'It's great to have you back Calum and jeez how big of a fever do you have?'
'I've been feeling.. not that great for.. the last two weeks now?'
'And you had a fever just before right?' 'Yes?' 'Damn go see a doctor.'
'I'm fine,' I mumble.

He moves his head back.

'You're not I.. I don't want you to be in that damn hospital again.'
'Grayson.. I'm okay, I recognise it.. this is not.. that.' 'You better not lie.'
'Gray.. I just have a cold or something.'

'And now what?' 'Hm?'
'They aren't leaving.'
'I'll let them take me, it's the least I can do for him.' 'Calum..'
'Don't talk me out of it, they'll get me no matter what.' 'Be careful.'
'I'll leave everything that's important behind, I'll pick it up if I'm safe, otherwise you just need to drive home.' 'Alright..'

I step out of the car and start making my way over to my own house.

I sigh as I put my hands up in the air.

'Come and get me then!'
'Don't throw a scene.. please.'

My eyes focus on the brunette walking towards me.

'What are the cars for then?'
'In case you.. struggle.'
'What's going on?' I whisper.
'I'm sure your dad will explain it.'

She grabs a pair of handcuffs from behind her back and just stares at me for a second before moving towards me, but I flinch back.

'Rose..' 'I'm sorry.. I need to, just cooperate.'

Out of everyone she is send to get me.. why.. why does the universe hate me?

'Where are you taking me?' 'The car.'
'And after that?' 'The same place Levi is at, guess you still end up together, lucky you,' she mutters but there's a spice of sarcastic to it.
'For how long?' 'I don't know.' 'Why?'
'Please just cooperate.'

When she moves closer I catch a glimpse of her necklace dangling from the movement.

It was her mothers and it meant a lot to her. I remember how she told me about it.

Her dad was mentally unstable.. someone who could've been fixed, but help wasn't provided.

One day it all went wrong her parents had been fighting and he.. killed her.
He dissembled the body and got rid off it through a lot of different methods, a food processor for the fingers.. boiling of flesh and other body parts.. let's just say it was horrible. He got rid of everything.. everything that linked her to his existence, not thinking about the fact they were married.

Rose came home from school while he was going to take all of the jewelry and get rid off it and this necklace.. she grabbed it and ran.

This necklace around her neck..
this necklace was all she had left.

And I just snatched it by pulling myself up against it.

'Calum give it back.'

My eyes go down to the broken necklace folded in a tight fist.

'Calum you know what it means to me, give it back. Please.'

I let it slip out of my hand and watch it hit the ground in what seems like slow motion.

I need to do something..

Just when she ducks down to get it I take a step forward hearing the gems shatter underneath my body weight.

'You.. you didn't just so that.. this is a dream right?'

I take a step back revealing the object.

'You piece of shit,' her hands push against my chest, 'You're a complete moron!' 'Rose I.. I'm sorry.'
'Sorry? You're sorry? I raised you inside this company.. I helped you, I protected you.. and this is what I get?'

I back off as I can almost see the anger burn within her.

'I told you that in trust.. you.. they should've abandoned you. You're useless! You're far from saving.'
'Rose..' 'Shut up! Shut the fuck up!'
'I didn't mean t..' 'Shut up!'

I pick up what's left of the necklace, fold it inside of a tissue and hands her it.

'Maybe it can be saved.'
'You're an idiot!'
'Maybe you can melt it into something else, it would st..'

Her fist slamming against my face causes me to fall back against an other body.

'You.. you're an idiot,' tears start rolling down her face, 'This was everything I had left.'

'Cub come on.'

A pair of hands pull me back and leads me towards one of the cars.

'Why the fuck did I do that?' I whisper to myself. 'He has gotten under your skin Calum.. I don't think she will ever  understand that though.'
'I.. I broke her.' 'Like he wanted.'
'I..' 'Calum listen, these things happen, once you get back I hope you can think straight again.'
