Here we are.. locked up in a room in the base of the enemy. Most of us got out, but I wasn't that lucky.. neither was Felix.

The doors open and one of us get pushed back in.

It has been happening for the past few hours. Every time one of us would be taken and get back later. Some of us were gone for a few minutes.. some for half an hour.. some even longer than that.

I knew this time it was going to be me, I was the only one who hadn't gone yet.

'The little guy.'

I get up and walk towards the door.
Fighting against it wouldn't help me, I saw that the first few times.

He doesn't even bother to pin my hands behind my back.. he doesn't even bother to touch me at all.
Everyone knew that we couldn't run anymore.

This whole plan was stupid.
Felix thought the place would be much more empty, but never send anyone in to check. Instead of losing one guy we lost ten.. technically.
We were alive, but I don't know whether or not that's a good thing.

He leads me to a room and basically pushes me inside.

I look around and notice hospital like equipment.

'What did you do to the others?'
'Why do you assume I did something?'
'Because they're all acting like they're brain death,' I explain.

He snickers as an answer.

'Don't worry about it Calum.'
'I think I will be worried about that.'

'How long are you going to keep standing in front of the door? Just come here and sit down on the bed.'
'I don't think I want to,' I answer.
'It talks much easier if you are.'
'Talk? You only want to talk?' 'Yep.'

Slowly and slightly limping I make my way over to him.

'It still hurts doesn't it?' 'What does?'
'Your knee,' he explains.
'Oh yea.. it does.'
'Do you trust me enough to take another look at it?'
'If you promise you won't do anything else.'

He chuckles.

'You know what,' he moves away to get something and my heartbeat raises, 'here.'

Confused I look at the plate of food in front of me.

'I didn't poison it or anything like that, I just want you to eat something decent,' he explains.
'How can I be sure?'

He smiles as he takes a bite of the food.

'There you go.'

Since I know it's safe I start to eat like I haven't eaten in days.

'I thought you were a slow eater?'
'Not when I'm hungry,' I reply.
'So you're a boy with a manual.'
'Isn't everyone though?' 'Maybe.'

'Calum,' I look up, 'I hate the fact that you're stuck here.' 'Why?'

He tucks some of my hair that is poking my eyes behind my ears.

'It would be better if you were alone.. now I need to treat all of you the same. Otherwise people on both our sides will start to question things.'
'We already do.' I turn my head towards the.. child I didn't notice.
'Ash no need to scare him.'

'Why do you have a child in here?'
'He's my brother,' he replies.
'Ah.. wait why is he here?'
'He wants to so why would I stop him?' He explains. 'Whatever.'

'So.. care to explain how you guys knew where we are?' He asks.
'Someone leaked it.' 'Who?'
'How would I know?' I reply.
'Fair, but.. you know what they look like?' 'I have no idea, out of nowhere they were like an ex co-worker leaked a location and we're going there now. Even though I didn't want to they still took me and now we're all fucked.'
'I'm not so sure about that.. we didn't get everyone so your guys will come back and try to get all of you out of here,' he sighs, 'That's why I'm making sure they'll have difficulty with it.'
'What do you mean?'

He moves away and comes back with a syringe.

I move as far away from him as possible.

'Calum.. come back.' 'I think I'm good.'
'I need to do this Calum.'
'You don't have to,' I whisper.
'Like I said.. I need to treat all of you the same, so I need to do this.'
'At least explain what you're going to do and what it will do to me.'
'It will make you feel tired and stop you from running or speaking because that will drain all the energy you have left,' he explains.
'Doesn't sound like I'll enjoy it.'

He grabs my hand.

'It will be alright,' he squeezes my hand, 'I'll make sure it will infect you the least.' 'Why would you,' I mutter.
'Because Calum,' he moves closer to me, 'You're the youngest.' 'Right.'

'So.. give me your arm.'

I extend my arm and he holds it.

'Ash keep his other arm away from me,' he laughs quietly, 'This little bitch will try to kick or slap me.'
'How are you going to stop me from kicking?'

He wraps his legs around my good leg.

'You'll be stupid if you try to kick with the other one.'

Holy crap.. this feels so weird?

He looks me in the eyes and smiles..
a genuine smile.. is he enjoying this?

'You don't look scared anymore,' he answers my unasked question.
'Well.. I'm scared as fuck.'
'You're hiding it really well.' 'Thanks.'

'Deep breaths Calum.. deep breaths.
It will be over quickly.'

He plunges the syringe into my arm.

At first I only feel the ache of the needle but after a few seconds I feel a burning sensation everywhere.

I don't move.. I don't struggle.. I don't fight against it.

My sight starts to blur and the ticking sounds coming from the clock seem to faint.

'You either like him or adore him I'm sure about that.'
'Shut up Ash, you wouldn't understand.'

I don't pay attention to the conversation anymore as my eyes become heavy.

'Ho ho ho.. don't faint.. not now.'

I want to react, but all that leaves my lips are short whimpers.

'I know Calum.. I know. Save your energy alright? You'll be fine I promise,' he assures me.
