F*cking cliché

I'm at work again.. I didn't want to leave his home.. for some reason.
He had been so nice for me, I stayed there until Monday morning.
He kept sleeping on the couch for me while I took his bed.

I'm still limping around a bit, not much anymore, but still a bit.
My shoulder was doing so much better though.. I could move it almost freely.

'Great to have you back, we'll need as much hands as possible.'
'What did I miss?' I reply.
'We got a hint for a base Levi owns.'
'How?' 'One of his ex employees gave us a location.. they must hate Levi now.'
'So we're going there today,' Rose adds.
'And you want me to go with you?'
'Yes.' 'Guys I.. I don't think that's a good idea,' I mutter.

I get up and walk towards them.

'I'm still limping.. I'll never be able to win a fight,' I explain.
'Don't fight anyone then.'
'Thanks Felix,' I mumble, 'Besides.. I still have this tracker, won't they see us coming?' 'I'm sure they won't look at where you are all the time, certainly not at the hours you're usually working in the office.'
'I guess?'

There we were.. hiding in the woods surrounding the place.
Levi must like trees or something.

'Okay Calum you've been in one of his bases already. We don't know if it's this one but.. how was it like?'
'We went down in an elevator.. so I guess it was partly underground.'
'I guess we will find out once we're inside then.'

This sounds like a bad idea.. did they even think about this properly or are they just going for it?

I don't know how we got inside, but we got there.. unnoticed?

We managed to find some stairs leading down.

There's a group of us waiting upstairs, one group will be waiting on the stairs and the other group is going downstairs.

I'm in the second group.. luckily.
I don't feel like going down there again.

We're just waiting for it to go wrong I guess..

I know they want to place a device inside the building to get into their network and a microphone or camera if they're lucky.

Just as my mind started to fill with thoughts about what to eat tonight, one of our teammate comes running upstairs.

'Need you guys down here.. they noticed us and the earpieces somehow don't work.'

I could have known those wouldn't work.. I could have known.

'Right, cub stay here, Louisa go up and tell the others.'

I nod and see how the others start moving.

'Calum if I yell red, get out of here. Don't try to safe anyone else, just safe yourself. I need you to be safe.' 'But..' 'Cub just do it!'

And with that Felix starts running down the set of stairs.

This was so stupid.. we will never win this, everyone's coming from the same direction.

We.. will.. never.. win.. this.

Why were they going down.. why aren't we getting out of here.
There's no point in stay here.

'

'Look Calum I'm sorry, but you need to go down there and try to get this usb stick into a laptop or computer.'
'Why me?' I whisper.
'Because somehow Levi doesn't seem to fuck you up that bad.'
'But they will notice me once I'm down there,' I state.
'That's why you're taking the other stairs.' 'And where are those?'
'I'll take you to them, come on we need to be quick.'

I creep down the stairs hoping to slip through behind them and get to a computer.

I should have stayed home or at Levi's then I would've heard about this attack from him and I wasn't part of it like I am now.

I manage to get through unnoticed.

Just when I try to insert the usb, my wrist gets captured.

'I wouldn't do that if I were you.'

I try to release my wrist, but their grip only tightens.

'Calum, no.'

I start struggling even more.

'Calum I swear, stop it.'
'Please I need to do this.. I will earn their respect.. please Levi.'

'Calum get on your knees.'
'But my knee i..'
'I know that's why I want you to.'
'I won't be able to do it,' I mumble.
'I'm afraid I can't let you ruin my software then.'

Will he let me if I did this or is he just trying out to see how easy I can get manipulated?
I start lowering myself to the ground and bite the inside of my mouth to ignore the pain. But he stops me.

'Calum don't, you'll hurt yourself.'

I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

'Closing your eyes won't get you out of this sweetheart.' 'No? I wish I.. I could tel.. teleport out of here.'
'That comeback would be somewhat decent if you weren't stuttering,' he sniggers and pushes my head up with his index finger, 'Calum are you afraid of me?' 'Yeah,' I whisper.
'Look at me Calum.'

I open my eyes to find his eyes staring into my soul. My eyes go up to his forehead.

'You're hurt?' I ask. 'Yep, but that wasn't what I wanted you to see.'
'Well.. show me?' I reply.

He takes a step back and reveals a part of his arm.. it's covered in scratches.

'What happened?'
'I had a bit of a fight with Grayson and I uh.. lost,' he pushes my head back up, 'I want you to see that it's possible to fight against me and win.. but you won't win if you don't even try because you're to afraid.'
'I'm not afraid to fight against you.. I'm just afraid because right now I don't even stand a chance.'
'Normally you don't even struggle much at all,' he replies.

I take a deep breath.. am I really going to confess this?

'I don't want to fight with you because I.. I think I might.. you know. I.. actually l.. like you. As in like like.'
'What are you trying to say Calum?'
'I.. I think I might am.. fallinginlovewithtyou.'

He releases me and takes a step back.

'That's a horrible decision, really.'
'I know that.. you're just fucking around w.. wanting to make me con.. confused and well.. you got there.
I.. I wish could hate you but I can't.. I can't seem to find reasons why.'
'Oh Calum.. poor little guy.. if only there was someone out there who loved you.. right?' He responds.

'You.. you're an asshole do you know that?' I mutter angrily. 'I'm aware.'

He wraps his hands around my fist.

'Drop the usb Calum.'
I shake my head. 'Drop it.. come on.'
I shake my head again.

He groans and rolls his eyes.

'Calum drop it before I decide to break your fingers.'

I sigh as I open my hand.

'Good boy.' 'I'm not a dog.'
'Those obey much easier,' he laughs quietly, 'But I have something what would make you do whatever I like.'

My eyes widen as I try to get away from him.

'Don't worry Calum, I don't want to miss out on your reactions.'
