'Okay so can someone fill me in?'
'Right so.. he came back for the serum we had and that ended up in a huge fight. He killed Phil.. he killed Phil Calum.' 'Phil was..?'
'One of our strongest fighters.'

He killed one of our strongest fighters.. on accident. Proves how dangerous he can be, but he was devastated on the other hand.

'So we have him locked up now.'
'Wait.. what? Where? When?'
'We were looking for him for around two to three days and then we saw him out of nowhere so we grabbed him and locked him up in the refrigerator in the hope he'll explain things or tell us his plans,' he replies.
'The freezer? Why wouldn't you turn him in by the police? There must have been enough eyewitnesses.'
'We won't get to the virus with him being locked up, I thought you out of everyone would understand.'
'But the freezer? How long has been in there?' I ask.
'The whole morning I guess.'

I try to keep the raising anger and concern to myself.

'Have you given him anything to eat? What if he freezes to death in there!'
'We have nothing else yet.'
'But why in the freezer?'
'He's not giving us anything.'
'It's unethical!'

Felix grabs my collar and pulls me up to his face.

'Calum it's a criminal! He would've done the same thing.'
'We're supposed to be better!'
'Calum why do you care?!'
'Felix,' the man gets pulled away from me, 'He has been sick and now you're screaming at him besides he's still not used to all of this.'

She lays a hand on my shoulder and leads me away from the room.

'Calum tell me honestly, what's going on between you and Levi?'
'What do you mean?'
'You listen to him, he helps you calm down and now you're worried about him.. there's something going on and I need to know,' she whispers.
'There's nothing going on.'
'I don't believe that.'

I keep my jaw tight together.

'I won't tell anyone.'

Still I don't reply.

'Okay then, I'll bring you to him.'

'

He was sitting in the corner curled up into a ball.. vulnerable.. scared.

'I'll leave the door open, be careful,' she whispers before I walk in.

The cold immediately hits my skin like needles. The fact that he has been here for hours is sickening.

I kneel down next to him and carefully try to take a hold of his hand.

'Levi?'

All he does is softly squeezing my hand.

'Holy.. you're so warm,' he murmurs.

I wrap my arms around him in an attempt to warm him up, but then again.. we're both in this freezer.

'Are you okay?'
'This is all just stupid,' he curls up even closer to me, 'I don't know why I'm crying.'

I hadn't even noticed until I saw his face.

'Levi, that's what we call pain.'
'I know, but I just never cry,' he pauses, 'Being angry is so much easier than being sad.'

I sigh as I pull him even closer.

'It's okay to be sad sometimes Levi.. especially when you're in this situation.' 'I should have stayed at your house for longer.'
'Did you know we were out to get you?'

He shakes his head.

'Can you get me out of here?'
'No.. I don't think so.'
'Who's behind the door?' He whispers.
'Rose.. maybe.'

I decide to wipe away the small drops on his cheeks. A soft sad smile appears on his face as he takes hold of my other hand.

'You can't help me out can you?'
'I want to but I can't.. work is work.'
'All you can do is try not to struggle.'
'What do you mea..'

I can't finish my sentence because of the sudden stinging feeling in my neck.

'I'm sorry darling.'

I try to move.. I try to get away.. to fight it, but is only starts to hurt more.
Just before I cry out he manages to cover my mouth with his hands.

'Shh.. don't struggle darling, it will only make it worse.'
'Wha.. what di.. did y..'
'It's not dangerous, it will be over soon.. I promise.'

The burning sensation only gets worse and worse as my legs start kicking around for any type of comfort.
Levi just holds me back, his eyes still full of sadness. Being inside this room broke him.

'Almost there Calum.'

One of his hands moves to my shoulder as he starts to slightly massage it.

'I really wish I could have take you out easier, but I can't fight you right now.. this is the only way.'
'Were you,' I start but his hands still covers my mouth so I wait for him to remove it, 'Were you.. just carrying.. that ne.. needle around?'
'Basically.'
'Why haven't you.. used it sooner?'
'I couldn't reach their neck, but you need to relax now darling.'

'Were you.. act.. actually crying?'
'No.. but I do mean what I said, being angry is easier.'
'But th.. the look in your e.. eyes?'
'I'm truly sorry for hurting you this cruelly without giving you the chance to fight back, love.'

I feel how my limps start to drop to the ground like they became heavier and gravity pulled on them.
Levi helps me down until I'm basically laying on the ground with my head in his lap.

'Almost there dear,' he strokes through my hair, 'Just a few more minutes.. I'll make it up to you, I promise.'
