C~5: Cullens Get Real

I pick up my bag and walk outa my last class. Coming to the front of the school I see Jasper and smile, he wave me over and we walk out together still discussing what we should do for our project.

I laugh at a comment he made and my eyes land on a stern-looking Bella who walks past him and the two begin to walk into the forest. Jasper and I watch, and once the two are out of sight, we begin moving once more.

"Ten bucks says they make out while in the woods," I state. Jasper chuckles from beside me "That might kill her, so you're on."

Dang, I think I owe him ten bucks now.

"Wanna walk home with me?" he asks, I give him a look, he shrugs "At least to the border," he suggests. I nod "Sure."

I had questions which Jasper was open to answering. We were deep into the forest but Jasper knew where we were going so I didn't question anything.

"Do you have to be dying to become a vampire?" I ask as I walk on a log my arms out like I was on a tiperope. Jasper shakes his head "No that's only how Carlisle dose it, but that wasn't how it was with me."

I jump down and rush to catch up with Jasper "Did Dr. C find you?"

"In a way. I met Alice first, she saw me coming, of course, said that she knew about what I was and that I was going to be her closest sibling, which is true. But before that, I was turn by another immortal down in the south." he explains.

South? "Is that where you get the accent from and why you don't talk like this at school?" Jasper nods to my question and continues "I joined the Confederate Army before I turned 17, over the following 2 years, I was promoted to major, youngest major in Texas." he says boastfully. I roll my eyes "You must be proud of that."

"It's something to remember from before Maria bit me."

"So all you have to do is bite?"

"No, it's harder than that. Our bite contains venom. And once we taste blood, a sort of a frenzy begins. It's almost impossible to stop." he explains, and it was hard for him because Jasper's the newest one to be part of a vegetarian lifestyle.

"That's why it's so easy to be around me because I have no smell?"

Jasper nods "Don't know how that's possible."

I stop and smirk slinging my bag over my shoulder "Well maybe I'm the personification of impossible." I say being cheeky. Jasper chuckles at this and bows his head "Maybe."

The two of us laugh and Jasper seems to look at me for a long second "I want you to come and meet my family this weekend."

My eyes widen, his family, the whole Cullen family. I bite my lip nervous "I've never done anything like that, you really want me over at a full of vampires?"

"They'll all be fine, I'm the one who has trouble, remember. And Edwards going to invite Bella too."

"Yeah and I still hang out with you, but if your parents don't like me?" I ask. Jasper sighs thinking before looking to my guitar "You could play a song for them?"

"Yeah sure, a bunch of vampires and an electric guitar, they don't stand a chance," I say leaning against a tree. Jasper walks backward-facing me "Come on."

"I never said no. Billy's gonna be spending his weekend at Bella's because of the tv. Jacob's working on his bikes, no one will even notice I'm gone." I state. I keep walking but Jasper stops, oh the border.

"So I'll pick you up here?" asks Jasper.

I nod "Sounds good."
