C~44: Moons Light

After meeting up with Hunter, I had so many questions.

There was no way I wasn't dreaming!

But first Anges and Hunter took me to what was a medical house, not that big but very open, actually, all the buildings were open. Not many walls that weren't made of tinted screens or sturdy fabric.

The two adults walked me over to a stretcher type bed and had me wait there, later coming back with a girl. She looked my age, beautiful black hair and narrow kind eyes a shade of green "Mr. Hunter I must say no Spirit is stupid enough to be void of-" she's cut off when she sees me "Never thought I'd see the day."

Hunter leans aginst the wall chuckling. "She just arrived Jade, she doesn't know a thing."

The girl apparently named Jade takes my face in her hands, looking me over "And none of you decide to come here first!"

"Can you all stop talking about me like I'm not here?" I suggest polity shying away from her hand. Jade nods. "Sorry. My name is Jade, I'm a Sun Spirit, and I need you to lay down," she speaks, pushing me vertically.

"Um...Sun Spirit?" I start. Hunter nods, "We're split into two sub-races Sun and Moon Spirits; each comes with its own benefits and weaknesses."

"Which is what I'm trying to fix for you," says Jade. She puts her hands together, closing her eyes whispering, "Mikä vaivaa tätä olemusta?" as the words leave her mouth, the palms of her hands glow a faint gold.

That's not normal!

I begin to sit up laughing awkwardly, "What-what, are you doing?"

Jade pushes me back down her hands, hovering over my body. "Think of it as scanning you," she says, moving her hands over me. Scanning me for illnesses, "So that tells you what's wrong with me?"

"It's my Cantrip."

"You all keep saying that word, what is it?"

"We are creatures capable of...what you call "magic" but performing cantations can be draining and should only be used if necessary situations. Our Cantrips are our own abilities that don't drain us, and we only have one." describes Hunter.

Oh, so kind of like how some vampires have abilities, like Edward's mind-reading and how Alice can see the future. Jade pulls back her hands, the glow fading. "It's clear you've had illnesses, but they've passed."

"So then you don't know what's wrong with me?"

"Oh no, I do, just lay still and put these on," she says, handing me a pair of sunglasses, not questioning it I put them on. Jade walks over to a rope and pulls on it, then above me, the screen is rolled back, letting in the moon's full bright light.

God, it was bright, but then again, it felt like water was rolling over my skin, and every bit of pain washed away with it. After a little bit, Jade sits me up while pulling on another rope, the moonlight could still seep in but not as harsh.

I take off my glasses. "How do you feel?" ask Jade, handing me a mirror, I mean I feel great "I-I relaxed, wonderful- Woah," I exclaim, holding up the mirror. No more bags, my color was back, I even feel like I could run a marathon.

"That was close a couple more moonless night, and you might have been dead." chuckles Jade. The moon was really all I needed, which means I'm like the others here? Hunter puts a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry, you can be more careful now."

"Has anything like this happened before?" asks Jade. I shrug "It started when the storm hit us in Norway and then when we came back we had to close the curtains and lock the doors so Sam wouldn't be able to find a chance to attack."

Jade and Hunter stare at me, bewildered, "Attacked?" Jade questions. I let that slip, didn't I, swinging my legs off the bed and play with my fingers. "Well, you see...the supernatural is kinda normal..."

"How normal?" asks Hunter. I bite my lip. "For the past couple of years, I've been living in a family of werewolves, and my boyfriend's family are vampires," I speak, thinking over certain words. Jade's hands fly to her mouth in shock "That's what those bruises are from? You survived a vampires claim; you survived them in general!?... I need to lay down."

Shakily Jade heads off, and Hunter motions for me to walk with him. Jade's reaction, were vampires a good thing here or a bad thing? I guess Hunter saw my wondering because he was the first to speak, "When I wrote on your shirt, I said you should go when you need a place to go..." he pushes.

I look at him holding an arm "Well, one of my best friends just had a baby and then got turned into a vampire. When she did everything...changed! Suddenly a normal person didn't fit in anymore."

"But you're not a normal person."

"I know!!! Just can't believe it!!! I've been moving from one place to the next when this place was sitting here the whole time!"

"Yeah, it's been hidden here in Texas, it's been that way ever since the first Spirits fled from Finnland."

Finnland to Texas.

Vampires and Spirits...I think Spirits?

Was this a world I really belong to?

Hunter stops me in front of a cabin, looked like all the others. The signs in front of the houses changed, the one we stopped in front of had the words Twilight. Hunter smiles. "The group didn't want to change things up from being a band to much."

The band, no way.

I look to Hunter, who nods back. I run up the path and knock on the door, opening it was Tana. Upon seeing me, her eyes widen, and she beams, throwing her arms around me. "EVE!!!"

"TANA!!!"

"EVE!!?!" shouts two voices turning beyond her I stumble back as Peter and Hayden hug me. "The fuck! You call us once from Norway and then drop off the face of the earth?" asks Peter pulling away.

"And when were you gonna tell us the Cullens were Vampires and that your family was wolves?" inquires Hayden. Oh, so they know about that, huh? I stretch the back of my head as they bring me inside. "Eve, we are curious? What happened?" ask Tana.

I sigh, "Bad shit! I was hoping if I came out here, I could find you guys."

Hayden puts an arm around my shoulder. "Considering what we are now each other is all we have."

We all smiled at each other, I missed them so much!

Why didn't I come out here sooner?

In the corner, though, was someone I didn't know, narrow amber eyes, this golden blonde hair "Hello?" I start, the guy smirks. Hayden goes over, "Come on, Warren, we've all told you so much about Eve."

The guy named Warren stands and leans down kissing Hayden "I can't wait, I'm Warren." he finishes walking over and shaking my hand. Um, when did Hayden get a boyfriend?

"Eve."

"No offense, but I wasn't expecting my ally to be so short."

"She may be short, but she could still kick your Solar Soldier ass." pokes Peter making them all laugh. Warren must be apart of team right "Solar Soldier, but I thought it was Sun and Moon Spirits?"

"There are, think of it as our democracy. You'll learn about it tomorrow."

"Yeah, we should head to bed," says Tana taking my hand and leading me off. The Cullens the Tribe was out of mind, I was, I found my home.
