C~15: Life After School

I sit at lunch and listen to the train wreck of Mike writing Jess's speech for school. Bella and Edward sit down joining us as Mike babbles off "My fellow students. We are the future. Anything is possible...If you just believe. Perfect. And got your self a speech."  He rips the page off, hands it to Jessica "No, this will be my speech. When I want everyone to throw diplomas at my head."

She crumples the paper. Tosses it at him. "They have the bread and butter of all valedictorians," says Eric. Angela pushes his shoulder "And that is why you are not valedictorian." 

"And Jess doesn't need cliches." says Hayden, I nod "Speech is gonna be epic."

"Epic? It'll change lives," smirks Jess. I smile as  Alice and Jasper have abruptly appeared, carrying trays of food they won't eat. Jasper sits on the other side of me and Alice next to Edward.

She smiles "I decided to throw a party."

A party? Oh shit! Jasper laughs at my reaction "After all, how many times we gonna graduate high school?" he ask. I suppress a laugh and jab him in the gut "Real funny." I whisper.

"A party? At your place?" ask Angela.

"I've never seen your house." says Jess.

"No one's ever seen their house." states Hayden beginning to glare at Jasper. What's that all about?

"It'll be fun." says Alice breaking the tension, I roll my eyes "You said that last time."

Suddenly Alice freezes, her eyes glazing over. She's having a vision. Awkward. I look to everyone and smile "We stayed up late last night preping for final exams, senior jitters." I say. Jess shurgs it off and looks to me "So when can we expect a new performance from Twilight now that you're back in it?"

Hayden smile "Actually we're gonna be playing at graduation. Hey E I heard what happened with your guitar if you want you can borrow mine."

I reach under the table and pull out my guitar case "Thanks but Jasper actually got me a new guitar as a birthday gift." I say taking it out. Mike begins to laugh "Wow that thing is sick!"

"Bet you can shred some good riffs on that!" says Eric. Anglea sighs "The writing on it is so sweet too."

I nods "Pretty great! I'm gonna rock out on this thing the rest of my life!" I shout while putting it away. Hayden looks to be forcing a smile "That's great, looks great!" he says through his teeth.

After the day was over more passed all ending the same, Jasper and I walking through the forest as we always did, but today he seems nervous or unsure "Hey J? You okay?" I ask. He smiles and shakes his head "Somethings been on my mind for a while now." he says letting his accent fully shine through

On his mind, oh I can make good use of this "School work?" I ask.

"No."

"Family?"

"No?"

"...is it a girl?" I ask prying, Jasper freezes and looks down at me. NO WAY! I smirk "So it is a girl! Come who is it? Jess? Mackenzie? Angela?-" Jasper cuts me off by covering my mouth "Shh! I don't know. I just get this feeling everytime I'm near them." he says.

I bite my lip smiling "Jasper that's called a crush, just ask them out-"

"I can't worry about that with Victoria on our tail." he states walking past me, but if he likes someone he should be happy about it! Of courses he's my best friend, I want him to be happy "So it is a crush?" I ask.

Jasper crosses his arms and looks at me "Have you ever had a crush on someone?"

I shake my head, Jasper narrows his eyes "Are you sure?"
