"Just jump in!" shouts Peter from his spot, flailing around in the water. Sure we've been practicing working together for the past three days, we work okay, but we still need to come up with something to win.

Tana slowly lowers herself into the lake from the dock and sighs, relaxing into the water. How is she so confident to wear a bikini, of course, I'm sitting my knees curled up to my chest wearing a plain blue one piece.

"E jump!" shouts Peter splashing around, I scout back a little "No way, be lucky I even came close to the edge of the dock!"

Tana dips her head in "Eve you can't stay up there all day, we've been working our asses off this is time to relax-"

"LETTERS ARE HERE!!!" shouts Hayden running onto the dock in his trunks, he said he would stop by the bunk to see if we got anything, turns out we did. Hayden sits down beside me. "We got two for Peter, one from your mom and the other from your dad. Tana, you got one from I don't know, and Eve, you've got three."

Three letters, I pick them up and look through them, Alice!...Jacob...and Emmett! I smile opening it "I've been waiting for this one, Emmett knows competition like no one else's business."

"Please Emmett never joined a school sport," states Peter. I shrug, "You should see them playing baseball...it's like lighting, really." I say, beginning to read over the letter. Tana grins, "Well, read it out, girl."

"Dear Eve, glad I got your email, and don't worry, you guys are going to win. But if you do want some tips, I'm your guy. First of all, don't focus on what the others are doing; make sure you can perfect your own craft, and if you have to change it up, write a new song and perform that. You don't really need me to tell you this because I know your gonna win, can't wait to hear back, Emmett." I read.

Tana jumps up out of the water, leaning on the dock "You write songs?"

"Yeah, and they're great too," says Hayden, aw guys you're making me blush. I nod Tana throws a hand up "Cool write one, department heads love original pieces because some people tend to do the same old thing."

Peter jumps up, sitting on the dock. "You've been here before, what group we should be looking out for?"

Tana shakes her head. "With an original song, we should be good, except for the Rockapelleas."

Rockapelleas? I look to her puzzled "What kind of name is that?" asks Peter, Tana rolls her eyes "The kind of name that you can overlook when you've gotten top spots at camp competitions year after year."

"Ah, so their so good the terrible name is overlooked?" inquires Hayden.

"Yup!"

I put my head in my hands, "Wonderful! What do they sound like-"

Just then, heavenly music starts drifting in the air; we all turn to another side of the lake where on another dock, a group of about five, three boys, two girls, were lined up practicing a routine and singing.

Tana points, "They sound like that."

"Oh yeah, we are screwed," says Peter. Hayden scoffs, "No, we're not; we just need Eve to write a killer song!"

I look at him, "Since when did all this ride on my shoulders."

"Since Emmett wrote back," he says and stuffs my notebook in my face, I brought this sown to write in, not to feel pressured. Hayden makes me stand and grabs a towel. "Now come on E, there's a nice spot on the waterfront go relax...and write a song," he says, giving me a little push.

I roll my eyes, "Real supportive guys."

Peter lays down, hands behind his head, "We try."

Sighing, I take my stuff and walk down to the waterfront, laying out my towel. I sit down, grumbling to myself. Write a song they say, it's natural they say, sure easy enough for them who get to play in the water.
