I've been reading this book for the past hour wholly devoted to every word, she was starved here, and they moved her to Rome so they couldn't track her body.

I feel like a bandage being pulled away from skin, a purple glow forming my body, and feeling weightless. Opening my eyes, I'm suddenly floating, my body was purple, translucent, and looking back, my actual body was just asleep on the ground.

Man, I look horrible.

"E?"

No way, turning around, I see a blue translucent figure, his warm smile, his eyes staring into mine "Hayden?" I ask. He nods and hugs me. I'm able to feel his body, his soul "You found Selene's testament, god I've been waiting to talk to one of you for so long. The other's are kinda old." comments Hayden.

I pull away, "Others?"

"Other souls that Caius has set free...We can go anywhere we want, but we're bound to a separate plane of existence," he states somberly, so then he's been back to Forks and to The Grove only to watch.

"Hayden, I'm so sorry." I apologize, he shakes his head "You have nothing to be sorry for, come on let's go spy on Caius." he says, floating down through the trap door? I look down, and he pops back up. "It's safe," he says.

The whole experience was like swimming, pushing myself downward I join him as we float down the staircase to a grand hallway "So do you know what Caius is preparing?" I ask spinning around, Hayden leads us into a ballroom were multiple Immortal were clearly setting up for something "A party maybe?"

Just then, I hear a knock. "Um, did you hear that?" I ask. Hayden's eyes widen, "E just remember I'm always here, okay?"

Why would he say that to me, then my shoulders shaking and my vision goes white? When returning, I'm back in my body, and Maria is kneeling down, shaking my shoulders "Wake up!"

"I'm up!" I shout, she sighs, backing up leaning against the wall and begins playing with a necklace "What are you doing here?" I ask. She shrugs, "Caius said something felt off and wanted me to check on you." she mumbles clearly distracted.

"Who's the necklace from?" I question, Maria scowls at me, "What's it to you?"

"It's stunning," I state. Giving me a little smile, Maria answers, "It's from my mate...Tulio, my love."

So she did have a mate, "What happened?" I ask.

"When I was first turned, I joined a coven, they were my family, and Tulio was my lover. Then another coven came, took our lands and killed everyone, I was the only survivor from then on I vowed to retake the lands that were stolen from us," she explains, sad story, so she made armies and Jasper.

"Caius promised me the lands stolen would be mine again if I helped him, seems like a good deal, but then again he never mentioned you...Jasper's mate." she continues venom dripping from her voice.
