C~55: The Real Enemy

Aro's attention was all on me as I shake off the guard and continue the walk forward. Aro meets me in the middle eagerly "So this is how you look at full health?" he inquires, he was calmer and sincere.

This was the Aro Hunter knew and the one I was getting to know right now; I nod. "Well, when you first met me, I didn't know the condition I was suffering from...but you knew, didn't you?" I start.

Aro turns her head to the side "I admit I had my guesses, it made the whole ordeal a lot more interesting."

"That it has, and in this ordeal, The Grove comes to you for help." I start, Aro's face turns one of worry. "Whatever our dear friends need, what if the matter?" he asks. I couldn't believe that this was the real Aro, I felt comfortable like I wanted to get to know him as a friend.

"My people are dying at the hands of immortals, we believe someone with influence is trying to wipe us out." I explain Aro shakes his head, "My dear, I will see to it at once that this is put to an end; an investigation will be sought, I promise."

"But brother, these affairs don't consult our own!" snaps Caius. Aro looks to him, hurt "The Grove helped us, and we have alwayed helped them. It's time that friendship was renewed, and this is how it will be done! Release the others!"

My teams released, Tana and Hayden begin walking back to inform the others, Warren walks forward bowing a little "Hello Aro, I am the Solar Soldier and as you probably know E is the Lunar Guardian." he states, I nod and turns to Peter "And um Peter's gonna take over Hunter's job when he's older."

Aro laughs, "Aw Hunter, a freed young boy when I first trained him with his powers...speaking of which Eve may I see yours. As a Guardian, they must be extraordinary." he points, this Aro was a lot nicer, and I liked it.

Warren steps back "I'm not gonna be around for that Hayden wait up!" he shouts running back, Peter takes a step back. Aro turns back to me, "Please show us."

Finally, I could have fun with someone. "Okay, I'll um need a volunteer." I play, Jane smirks and steps forward. YES! PAYBACK! I hold out my hand, and tentatively she takes it "Varastaa," I whisper feeling the spark I grin at the fact that her powers now reside in me.

Jane giggles, "You are doing nothing to me."

Stepping back, I lock eyes with her "Pain." I state Jane's eyes bludge as she falls to the ground grasping her throat. Blinking once again, the effects are gone, and she's left in tortured shock, Aro shirks a laugh.

Jane stands growling at me, I tilt my head "Enjoy a taste of your own medicine?" I question in a hushed voice. Marcus stares upon in rarity, but Caius, his eyes held a feared type of shock as if I was still a threat.

Aro clasps his hands together "You have a power of absorption, I have never seen this before, very extraordinary." he compliments, Aro wasn't that bad, at least to those from The Grove. He stood away from the guard and with me, just speaking as if we were old friends.

"And that ring? My dear, I can only be a sign of bondage." he points out, I look at my hand and smile, "Yes, um Jasper proposed on Christmas." I tell, Aro smiles, "Congratulations, it has been a while, may I, if it will work?" he asks, holding out a hand.

Gently I give it to him, "We found out that powers wouldn't work on me because I accidentally stole them without knowing." I explain that Aro's grip tightens as his eyes widen, "The amount you have survived as a human .and the being that is to come into the world."

My kid, shaking my head I pull my hand away "Aro we promise we'll hide them just like Renesmee-"

"Please, they will also be a child of The Grove, and we can not break the treaty. Honestly, I am curious as to what will come of your child half immortal and half magical mortal!" he exclaims, I put two hands on my stomach, man I think I'm starting to get a tiny bump.
