No one's P.O.V

Could it be a dream, or is this real?

Those thoughts kept running through Eve's head as she wakes up only to stare into Jasper's eyes, making her giggle. "Well, you don't need that much sleep anymore clearly," states Jasper brushing some hair out of her face.

Eve yawns, snuggling up to him, "How long did we hit and run for until I passed out?"

"Four hours."

Jasper and Eve look at each other before laughing. Jasper presses his face into Eve's hair letting her rest atop him. "Happy birthday, sweetheart."

"Do we really count as being the same age now?" Eve asks, Jasper's chest rises and falls Eve with it as he smiles, "Think I got a decade or two on you."

"Just the first of many birthdays?" Eve starts. Jasper nods, "Many, many, birthdays. But I promise I'm gonna make each and every one special."

The two gazes at each other; this was just the first morning for the rest of their lives—a house, two beautiful children, a whole family in a world all their own.

And two beings never more in love and able to stay that way forever.

But Caius.

He's been out there.

The Grove and The Volturi at first searched for months picking up and leading with any clue they found, but slowly each member of each began to give up untimely coming to the idea that maybe Caius is just gonna hide.

People like Eve and Warren didn't give up for a long time, and a lot changed.

Renesmee grew some more in the courses of two years now, looking like a sophomore in high school, now passing for a sixteen-year-old.

The twins grew as well now having the mind and body of fourteen and fifteen-year-old teens, but of course, no going to high school.

No real interaction with humans, that was the new rule.

A rule some had more trouble with than others.

Jasper unpacks a bag when the door opens, and Whitman walks in. "Dad, I'm home!" he shouts, taking off his shoes. Whitman grew to be pretty tall, he allowed his hair to grow out into a collar-length, wavey style.

Jasper stands, giving his son a hug, "Hey, son, went to the library again?"

"I've been reading more up about references to spirits." he explains, Jasper nods, "It's good to learn about your history."

"...so what's for dinner?" ask Whitman; Jasper takes a container out of the fridge. "Leftover night for you, boys," he states. Whitman moves upstairs when just then, there a holler making the father and son freeze.

Looking outside Major speeds out of the forest, Seth, as a wolf, behind me. The two rough house with each other before Major waves goodbye sauntering up the back porch. Whitman groans, "Call me back downstairs when the IQ in the room goes up." he finishes walking to his room.

Yup, the two were as different as night and day.

Major walks in a big smile on his face panting and pulling branches and leaves out of his hair, unlike his brother he was fitter and had shorter hair "Hey dad! So when are we hunting!"

"You know you don't have to hunt every night!!!" shouts Whitman, Major scoffs, "Says the guy who drinks his blood from a packet!!!"

"Boys!" states Jasper looking between Major and Whitman's door; he runs a hand through his hair, trying to calm himself. No one said raising twins would be fun! He turns to Major, "So how was your day with Seth?"

"Great! We did some racing in the woods, caught a deer, and then ran into uncle Emmett, who we raced!" cheers Major, Jasper leans on the table biting his lip as his other son begins to head upstairs as well.

"Wish you could come home now." he whispers, just then the door flies open and a pair of arms wrap around his neck "Wish granted," mutters Eve. Jasper smirks, turning around, resting his hands on her hips. "How are you feeling?" he asks, Eve goes to answer, but Jasper interrupts, "Actually wait, I already know." he jokes, taking her lips in a sweet kiss.

Eve hums, smiling and turning to the house "Guess who's home!!!" she shouts, Whitman runs out quickly a second later downstairs hugging Eve "Mom!"

Major slowly makes his way downstairs, where Eve holds her arms out; Major holds up his hands. "Mom, please, I'm a grown man."

"Oh, you're right, okay," says Eve, just holding out her hand, Major smiles shaking it. Eve moves to walk away but gets pulled back from Major, still gripping her hand, he nods "Yup grown man."

"Okay." Eve starts and pulls her arm, which Major still holds onto; a second later, the grown man's demeanor is gone. He embraces her. "Mommy don't leave again!!!" he shouts. Eve rolls her eyes, kissing his head. "Aww, come on, let's eat dinner early."

Major and Whitman sit across from each other as Jasper grabs glasses and blood packets while Eve grabs some leftovers from the nights before. The couple sits down across from each other, setting everything up before having dinner.

"So mom did you and Uncle Warren find anything?" ask Whitman, Eve drops the fork from her mouth sighing; clearly it didn't go as expected "No just something we thought was a clue and was really nothing...but we did stop by The Grove, got you some new books."

Eve tried her best to fake a smile, but Jasper knew she was disappointed at yet another dead end. Looking between her two sons Eve gets distracted by Major "Major? Why aren't you eating, you must be hungry; I assume you've been out with Seth all day."

Major's eyes widen, and he begins to sink back in his chair "We...already...ate." he slowly states. Eve takes second processing this. "Major, we've talked about this!"

"What does it matter? I don't eat any of this stuff anyway, my dinner is this!" he says, taking sips of blood from his glass, meanwhile, Whitman's food is all gone, but he hasn't touched a drop of blood.

Whitman looks up, seeing both his parents look at his glass, he shrugs "I'm not thirsty."

"Son, you need to drink it; it'll keep you strong," states Jasper. Whitman shakes his head. "It'll keep the vampire side of me strong, but eating like a normal person keeps my spirit side strong."

"Speak for yourself magic's not get you anywhere in life, you're half vampire own it!" mocks Major. Whitman scoffs, "Please spell casting is a respected ancient art unlike you!"

This came to be a growing problem as they grew. Major never took the time to learn incantations and mostly cares about getting faster and more durable. At the same time, Whitman finds that it's just easier to focus on being more normal, and the closest options were focusing on the moon spirit side of him.

"No need to shout. It's been a little crazy for us all." reasons Jasper, Major rolls his eyes, "Says the happy couple."

Eve and Jasper look from each other to him, utterly confused; Major looks at them sitting up. "You don't want to say it, do you!? What kind of parents who live with each other, have kids, and have been engaged for two and a half years aren't married!"

Was that what he was upset about thinks the two adults, that they weren't married. Major stands, "Listen, keep me out of it if you're having second thoughts, but I'd like to know soon if I have stay with the magic or vampire parent." he finishes speeding upstairs.

Silence hangs in the air, and the two look to Whitman, who speeds off as well before looking to each other. No words are said, they can't say anything "We agreed to wait until Caius was out of the picture." starts Jasper.

Eve nods along. "Yes, and there's been no sign of him for two and a half years...I know I told Warren we wouldn't give up until Hayden was awake..." she trails, Jasper sees her hesitation "But?"

"But...he's gone...I can't avoid that anymore." she speaks her voice cracking, Jasper stands walking around and pulling her up into a hug "I'm so sorry...maybe the boys are right, maybe we should give people some hope."

Eve pulls back looking at him "Are you sure?"

"I've been sure ever since you said yes, I think it's time...Eveanlgine, Darlin' lets get married."
