C~18: Your Scars Are Beautiful.

I hold my bag as I walk with the pack through the forest, Sam holds his hand up signaling all of us to stop.

"We know the deal, we are here to learn and train so when the time comes we can protect our own and this land."

"Yes sir!" we all shout back and one by one they phase into wolves. Sam turns to me "I know you want us to get along but I can't trust them enough to risk being in our human form. You know what we want to know, how are the Newborns are different, got it?"

I nod "Yeah."

Sam phases into his black wolf form and nods this head for me to follow him. For the pack it's easy to walk over logs and jump down things, but for me I have to take my time climbing down ledges and over trees.

When coming to a steep ledge Sam motion for me to go first which meant this was the clearing, I smile as I begin to step down slowly. Emmett chuckles at me "You need some help E?"

"Ha ha laugh it up Emmett!" I shout slipping down onto my back, I close my eyes allowing the pain to settle in. Opening my eyes I see Jasper had knelt down next to me, he holds out his hands helping me up.

"You okay? he checking my head."

I nod "Just great." I say and look back to the treeline where the pack was "Pack don't trust you guys enough to be in their human forms." I explain. Carlisle smiles at me "They came. That's what matters. Jasper has experience with newborns. He'll teach us how to defeat them." 

I stand between the pack and the Cullens "They want to know how the 'newborns' is differ from you guys." I report.

"They're a great deal stronger than us, because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful... ... than in our first several months of this life."

I take this in. Carlisle nods to Jasper to take over. Jasper is initially uncomfortable with both the wolves and the attention. But steps forward, he looks to me and I smile giving him a nod "You got this."

He responds "Carlisle's right. That's why they are created. A newborn army, doesn't need thousands like a human army. And no human army could stand against them. The two most important things to remember are, first... Never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly. The second... Never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that. And you will lose. Emmett?" ask Jasper steping back and facing him.

Emmett smirks getting ready for the demontration. Jasper's gaze turns to me and he moves his hand I step back sitting on a log and he smiles turning back to Emmett "Don't hold back."

"Not in my nature." growls Emmett. He charges Jasper with impossible speed, but Jasper is a virtual blur. Emmett lunges several times, his strong arms grabbing at air. I feel a nudge beside me and smile at Seth.

I turn back to Jasper and Emmett "Come on Jas I got thirty bucks says you can take everyone down!" I shout. Jasper smirks as Emmett lunges again with similar results, until suddenly he freezes.

Jasper has him from behind, his teeth an inch from Emmettt's throat.

I clap and cheer turning to Seth "E 1, Seth 0!"

Everyone takes turns sparring with Jasper, or pairing off against each other. They're all blurs, But I can only imgian the violent but extraordinary dance each dose to face off each other. Everytime Jasper one at the end saying things like.

"Never lose focus." 

"One more thing...Never turn your back on your enemy."

"Focus on speed and agility."
