kim taehyung;
i limped to my bed, technically seokjin's bed but since i am too weak to climb up to the top bunk it is mine now, and lay down. while seokjin quietly works on the essay he has to complete, i stare at the top of the bunk unable to fall asleep. "are you not able to sleep", seokjin murmured staring at me. "no- nothing to worry about though. i just have slept a lot today. i don't think my body requires any more sleep", i say quickly. i don't want him to worry about me. "i wasn't worrying about you. it was just a general question", he hissed and continued to do his work. "hey, you know we share psychology classes. i really have been listening to those. you remember what we learnt about repeating the same thought over and over again to trick our mind into thinking it even if it false", i say loudly with a smirk on my face. "what are you trying to say. i am not repeating it over and over again because i want to trick anybody. only so that your little head doesn't fantasize about me", seokjin grumbled. "i didn't say that. it was a general thought seokjinnie", i snickered triumphantly. the brunette's ears turned red, "seokjin", he said plainly before he attempted to complete the essay.
i sat up stretching my hands as inspect the room. although the walls were dirt white and the book shelf and the study table was rusty the room did harbor plenty of happy memories. i do not know if i would miss the place but i would definitely recall it with a smile on my face. it wasn't easy. not all people were good. not all memories were sweet. but they all taught me something. taught him to be more calm, patient and observant. i quickly grab my notebook which was resting on the table beside the bed and begin to scribble.
i smiled at the poem i completed writing. i would have to credit the handsome boy for this new talent of mine. ever since he broke my heart, or whatever you want to call that, i have learnt to write my thoughts very vividly and clearly as well as poetically and elegiacally. satisfied with my piece of writing, i close the book and place it under my pillow. i look at seokjin who had fallen asleep while completing his essay. i walk to the study table and grab the piece of paper and skim through his word. he had written the essay extremely well but had hitches in a particular topic. i correct the mistakes and reference a few websites which may help him. with a smile i place the paper back and crawled back to my bed. we both rested peacefully for quite some time until it was time for dinner.
"seokjin, you should wake up. it is time for dinner" i cooed softly gently shaking his arm. he immediately opened his eyes and glanced at the clock placed above the bed. "right", he yawned as he stood up. "i didn't realize when i fell asleep", he mumbled to himself. we both head to eat dinner. we peacefully ate our dinner without any rude and unnecessary interruptions.
