taehyung doesn't know why he is ready to tell this grumpy annoying boy his story but there is something about his aura which makes taehyung speak. "i am actually here for an accident. a car accident. the victim lost his life", taehyung stated. seokjin nodded and placed his hand on my knee, "there is more to it. i am listening-" he encourages. "i didn't cause the accident", taehyung spoke. the words sound strange because these aren't the words taehyung practiced during the investigation. these aren't the words his mother wanted him to believe. but they are strangely true. seokjin traces small circles over the fabric. "can i just drink some water before i continue", taehyung stutters. seokjin nodded and quickly poured water in a glass and handed it to taehyung. he drank the glass water, quenching his thirst, and continued. "my brother and i, we were on our way to the lake. we both loved to nature. i think we were very excited. we were talking about his little crush on a boy called jungkook. i don't know what happened next but the next thing i recall is our car inside another car. we were both okay, just a little injured, but the driver of the other car was dead. he died right there", taehyung recalled. his face did not portray and emotion but his heart experienced a million. "only if i did not implore him to take me to the lake. the boy would still be alive. jungkook would still be alive", taehyung said. the last sentence faded to silence.
"jungkook", seokjin whispered. seokjin did not try to solace taehyung. he did not mutter, "it is okay. i understand you. it is not your fault. you need to move on" because those words were meaningless. he would not be able to understand what taehyung and his brother would have felt. he also realizes why taehyung blames himself. it is the survivors guilt. the poor boy, jungkook lost his life. namjoon lost his love. taehyung on the other hand was unharmed. seokjin simply wraps his arms around the boy and hold him in his embrace. taehyung continues to speak again, "my brother is an adult. he would have to spend an year or more in jail. it would tint his life. he would waste one precious year. i am a minor. i would just be in juvenile. i would be able to continue school and it wouldn't be that bad. my brother didn't agree. he said he wanted to repent for his mistakes but eomma talked sense into him and that is about it", taehyung completes burying his head into seokjin's chest.
seokjin ran his hands through taehyung's hair humming softly. he understand what hurts taehyung. it isn't his time at the juvenile, it is the guilt that he might be responsible for jungkook's death even if he is the last person to be blamed. "you are an amazing person taehyung, i really respect you for what you did for your brother", seokjin whispered to taehyung who was asleep.

edited; i told you seokjin is a nice boy. he is just a little grumpy sometimes.he is more mature than what he appears. tell me what you think about taehyung's backstory. do you want to know seokjin's story too. i think i just wanted to portray that the people who are the most cheerful go through the worst shit. i hope the chapter was worth your time.
also this chapter is in third person because i wanted to include bother their thoughts and you can't really know seokjin's thoughts if i wrote it in taehyung's point of view, duh! i hope it is okay with you, readers!
