"Enzo take the first car, I'll take the middle and Savannah, you take the last car. We have to protect Madam Hayes at all costs," I instruct as leader of the team going on this mission.

"What about Palmer?" Enzo asks.

"She's still training Sammy and the others," I answer.

"Let's get moving." As head of this Salutis base, we obey everything Madam Hayes says, and today, our job is to make sure she gets to the airport safely. The Salutis guards will take it from there. I pull Savannah aside and give her a kiss then say, "Babe, be careful okay." 

She cups her hand on my cheek and responds, "You too. Let's both come back in one piece so we can go on that date tonight."

"Deal," I say planting a kiss on her cheek. 

"Lovebirds, do you mind if you continue this after we protect our boss' life?" Enzo sarcastically asks. He's right though. As discussed, we make our way to our designated black, bulletproof SUV's.

The trip is exactly 12 minutes and 23 seconds, with no interruptions. Madam Hayes got onto the private jet safely and flew away. She is off to the main Salutis headquarters in London for a while, she is going there to help solve the disappearance and murder of our fellow Salutis members all over the world. 

"Madam Hayes was delivered safely to the airport, good work everyone. You are all dismissed." Oh did I forget to mention, I am the new head of the LA Salutis base while Madam Hayes is away.

I have worked my ass off for the past 2 years.

After Viola Vespers death, we swore to avenge Avery, but it turns out that Vesper was a loose cannon. She had been capturing and experimenting on people (Yeah I know right, she was totally deranged). All Vespers prisoners weren't criminals, she made their backgrounds up, her main goal was to perfect Dane's serum, Imperium, by experimenting on people... how she created Thor and Elsa, I have no idea. All that matters is that they are all gone now, they were transported to a different base and rehabilitated.

The heads of the main Salutis headquarters felt so bad about everything we had to go through, so they have been helping and supporting us in every way they can ever since... you know, Avery's death. We all live at the base except for Palmer. Sammy thrives here, he is learning to fight and academically, he is doing so well. He loves everything about this place. Palmer too, she had trust issues at first, we all did, but then Madam Hayes allowed her to read her mind. Palmer saw that she was telling the truth, they really did not know about Vesper's doings and intentions.

Palmer quickly became one of the best fighters, no surprise there, she is basically a genius ninja, and she is now one of the trainers here. My sister everyone, 9 years old and she already has a full time job. 

Enzo on the other hand still doesn't trust Salutis no matter what anyone tells him. He is sticking around because Palmer and Sammy are here and he wants to be around to protect them. Even if it means and I quote, "living with the enemy." He won't admit it, but he fits in here so well, and when we're out there on missions, we operate as one. We thought we were strong before, but now... we have reached levels we didn't even know existed with our powers, thanks to Salutis.

Okay, okay, I'll tell you, but don't judge me, Avery would want me to move on with my life. Savannah was born into Salutis, her mother is Madam Hayes. She is an exceptional agent and has been top of her class for as long as anyone can remember. She definitely was not part of my plan, but she was there for me after Avery's death. She was a good friend, she had my back from the start, no matter what. It wasn't until the end of last year that I realized I liked her, a lot. Turns out she felt the same way. Now she is my loving, supportive, badass girlfriend. 

It has been a crazy two years. We ended covid-19, Palmer manipulated the current president to step down from presidency and then brainwashed the new president to implement policies and take massive action against racism and gender based violence. We also ended the wars in Yemen, we managed to create multiple food suppliers for them so they never have to face famine again, the list goes on, moral of the story, we've helped a lot. The only problem we haven't been able to solve are the mysterious murders and the disappearance of Salutis members and investors.

However, as crazy as it's been, I wouldn't trade it for the world. We have helped so many people.

Avery would be so proud.
