Vada

"What. did. you. do," I say as fear for my mothers life consumes me. 

"We saved your life," Kai answers. 

"And you just killed my mom," I say and then teleport straight back to the realm we came from.

"Mom!" I shout while looking around, I hear a noise behind me and see Yvonne. 

"You shouldn't have done that, now you're too late," she says and then steps aside revealing my mother lying on the floor. Without even thinking, I teleport to her and place my hands on her. She's not breathing, she has no pulse, her lips are dark blue, this can't be happening. 

"Come back to me," I say while pushing all the energy I've got into her.

"Did I forget to mention that she died about an hour ago from hypothermia?" Yvonne says mockingly. Without thinking, I stand up, lock eyes with her and break every single bone in her body, I walk towards the broken person on the floor, and rip her head right off. I'm so damn angry at Cynthia, she will pay with her life for what she has done here today. 

I walk back to moms body and pick it up gently, I teleport back to the house and lay her on the couch.

"Vay," Tanith says after walking into the living room. "Oh my god," she says after seeing my moms body laying there. 

Her body is laying there, it's nothing but a body now, because she's dead, and it's all my fault. I feel my knees hitting the ground and every single emotion I'm feeling right now comes through my tears. 

Kai

My hearts stops beating when I teleport back home to see Avery on her knees in front of her dead mother, her words "you just killed my mother", start replaying in my head because I now realize what she means. Did we do this? 

Right now that's not what matters, her mother was her best friend before she had to die, I can't imagine how she's feeling. She looks so broken, shattered, hurt and destroyed. Never in my life have I ever seen her this hurt. She looks up and sees me standing there, she locks eyes with me, stands up and slowly walks towards me. She is definitely going to punch me, but I think she needs an outlet, if she needs someone to break, I'll let it be me. 

"It wasn't your fault," she says wrapping her arms around me. It takes a second for me to process, but in no time I'm hugging her back. 

"I'm so sorry," I say wishing I could make it all go away for her. 

"Don't be, there was nothing you could've done," she responds and then pulls away and something else takes over her face, rage. She looks pissed off. I blink and she disappears, a part of me worries that she might do something reckless, but then I remember how deadly she is when she's okay, I feel bad for ever is on the other side of her anger. 

Vada

Cynthia doesn't get to murder the most important woman in my life and walk away, I stopped by our weapons room and picked up two swords, not guns because I want it to be personal, I want to feel their lives leaving their bodies the same way they watched my moms leave hers. 

I teleport to the realm where I see Heska and Niko standing over Yvonne, before Heska realizes it, there's a sword piercing his heart. I yank the sword out and use it to sever his head off of his body. Niko looks surprised at first but ducks when I swing my sword at him, here's the thing, we're in a whole new realm, and there is no water around for him to use against me. Meaning it's straight up combat, he's a dead man. I find his attempt to run amusing, I simply teleport in front of him with the sword that pierces his chest, as you can see, there's a pattern, I yank it out and cut his head off. I watch as it drops and rolls away from the body. I walk to it, pick it up by the hair and collect the other two knowing I want to use them to know the others down like bowling balls. 

I teleport home, my rage at even higher levels, I drop the heads on the floor in front of the couch where my mom lays and earn concerned looks from all my teammates. I walk past them without making eye contact and make my way to the training room. I need to punch something until I see the other three.
