Vada
I know they meant well, but they all led me to believe that there was a chance I'd see her again, a chance I'd hear her voice again, a chance I'd get to explain to her how I've been alive and how every single day since I 'died' I've wanted to just sit and talk to her about everything going on in my life. She died knowing I was alive and then died hours later with a hundred questions on her mind, I didn't even get to say goodbye.
I take a deep breath and push it all down, once I start feeling all of this, I won't be able to stop, and I can't afford to be distracted like that. I am really mad at everyone for lying to my face but we still need to work together to win this war. I know Cynthia won't go down easily, but I need to get my family back. By fire by force.
"Alright Vada, I've adjusted your inhibitor to allow one thing in and nothing out, so don't hesitate to kill her in there because it's either you or her and frankly, I'd kill her a thousand times before letting you die," Cassian says after fiddling with the inhibitor.
"Okay, thanks," I say plainly and then stand up to leave, it might be a new day but I am in no mood to be extra friendly with these liars.
"Umm okay," he says after noticing my dull mood. "Are you okay?" he asks.
"Really?" I say, how can he even ask that???
"What?" he asks defensively.
"Cut the crap Cassian, I know you all knew about not being able to bring back my mom but you lied to me anyways."
"What? You can't bring your mom back?" he asks sadly which makes me reconsider his involvement in this.
"You didn't know?" I ask.
"No of course not," he says with his eyebrows scrunched in concern. "And if I did, I sure as hell would have said something, that's your mom," he says wrapping his arms around me. "I am so sorry Vada." He really didn't know, they must have figured he'd tell me.
I cut the hug short because I am trying to avoid emotions today, and this hug is coming very close to pushing me over the edge.
"Did you make inhibitors for my family?" I ask knowing we have to put them on Jason, Chloe and dad.
"Yeah I did," he says still trying to adapt to the sudden mood switch. "They're a bit different because they were built to push out and then block but they will work."
"Thank you Cassian," I say sincerely, and not just for today, for always. He really does the most for this team, without him, we'd all probably be dead because our outfits wouldn't be bullet proof and all that.
I teleport out of the box and up to the training room where everyone else is. "Today I don't want to see any mistakes, yesterday was mistake day, today you have to act like it's the real life or death situation. If you step on a landmine I will stab you with a knife and then heal you five minutes later. Begin." I know it sounds harsh but it will get them to take this seriously, and also, I'll get to stab them ;)

"How are we getting Cynthia to Xendorite?" Kai asks.
"When she comes looking for the serum, we will tell her that it's there, when she gets there, we kill Idris and keep her there until there's the last man standing," Cassian explains.
"What if we can't kill Idris?" Mel asks.
"We can, and we will," I answer flatly.
"Cynthia has been quiet for a few days, too quiet," Tanith says. "She's up to something, we still don't know what her end goal is."
"If all goes well, we'll never have to find out," Rik responds.
"So what do we do now?" Enzo asks.
"We wait," I vaguely answer.
"For what?" he asks.
"For her."
