Vada

"Wait so you're telling me those simpletons broke in here last night, tranquilized and kidnapped us, then took us to a motel where you were forced to save us by revealing your identity, and now we have move houses?" It sounds even crazier when worded like that.

"Yes Imelda, that is exactly what I'm saying. We have to go before they come back and try to take us into custody." God knows they will eventually experiment on us.

"No we don't. Let them come, they can't beat us when we're awake,"  Rik says unmistakably ready to fight.

"And what happens when we need to sleep?" Tanith asks tilting her head to side like a curious puppy.

"We take shifts watching over the house at night," Imelda responds.

"For the rest of our lives?" Rik and Imelda are the only ones who don't want to leave. I can't blame them, this place is exquisite.  We'll come back one day but for now we have to go. Dane has a few hideouts in other low key countries, but we're going to the one in Madagascar.

"What if we make them think the house isn't here anymore." When Cassian speaks I realize that that is the first thing he has said since he woke up.

"Explain," I curiously say.

"Vada if I can harness your powers to create a cloaking device around the house that makes people see what we want them to, then we don't have to move. We'll make them see the house burned to the ground. They won't even bother rummaging through the debris, they would simply start looking for us in other places."

"That would be perfect. But how long would it take for you to create a device like that?" I ask.

"I don't know... a day or two."

"Okay then, we're going to have to keep them distracted enough not to look here," Tanith says.

"Well, we haven't finished the job, we still need to take down London. If we make our presence known there then they're not going to be looking for us here," I respond with a smile on my face. Taking the Salutis London base down is a big job, and we will be a powerful man down because Cassian has to stay behind to finish the device, but we've still got a few tricks up our sleeves that they don't know  about.

"We have go soon then, before they decide to come here," Imelda says and I agree. We spend 10 minutes in the training room going over our plan. Afterwards I tell Cassian we're going and we teleport to London. The first thing we have to do is cause a commotion, and I know exactly how to do that.

"Wait for my signal," I say to the others while stepping into the elevator that will lead to the base. I'm wearing pajamas over the suit Cassian made, my face is a mess and so is my hair, I took out the grey contacts and scrapped the excessive make-up, the goal is to look like Avery Shaw. The elevator doors slide open, it's time to put on a show. "Help! Help! Help!" I scream while running inside looking distressed.

"How did you get in here?" an agent asks. Really? A girl comes in asking for help and you're more concerned about how I got in? What a gentleman.

"Dane James is alive, my name is Avery Shaw, I've been held captive for 2 years, I managed to fight my way out tonight. Please help me," I cry clinging to the agents arm.

"Doctor Hayes, we have a situation, please make your way to the data centre," the agent says pressing his ear, clearly using comms. A few minutes later a well dressed woman walks into the room directly towards me. She stops and stares at me in shock.

"Avery Shaw... it really is you." I have never met this woman in my life, how she would know my face is beyond me. She notices my confusion and continues, "My name is  Doctor Hayes, Kai Grayson burst into my base two years ago demanding we find you. Everyone at Salutis attended your funeral as one of our own played a big role in your death. How are you alive?" She is still staring at me wide eyed. The mention of Kai throws me off a bit but I manage to spin my story to her.
