"I must say, when the girl showed up, I didn't think you'd win," Kai says handing me clean clothes. 

"Oh please, I'd have to have one limb and be blind to lose to them," I say while changing. 

"If you don't mind me asking, how did you meet them?" he asks. 

"It was the day after my funeral, Rowan and Skye decided to crash at the house in South Africa and they didn't know I was there. Rowan explained who they were and I explained who I was and he felt sorry for me because he had to go through the same thing. He had his wife, Skye, there to help him through it, so he felt like he needed to be there for me. He taught me how to use my powers properly and how to fight smart and make decisions under pressure. They had to leave after a few months and he encouraged me to do everything Dane said I must, when Rowan left, my role as a leader started by saving Cassian, and over time, recruiting the others. But if it wasn't for Rowan, I wouldn't be who I am today," I explain. 

"How did he know our names though?" 

"We meet up every now and then, I spoke about you a lot in the beginning, and Palmer and Lorenzo and everything that happened," I respond. 

"Why isn't he part of your team?"

"Rowan and Skye were newly weds when I met them. They wanted to travel the world together and live in this never ending honeymoon," I answer. 

"That doesn't sound so bad," he says smiling at me. 

"Don't get any ideas, I've already traveled the world."

"Blowing up bases on different continents doesn't count," he says and I laugh because that is so true, the only places I've been too were for missions or to blow up a Salutis base.

"Knock knock," Tanith says."Rowan said and I quote, 'Tell Vada to hurry her horny ass up, we need to talk'" I laugh at how uncomfortable she looks repeating those words. 

"Alright let's go before he throws a bitch fit," I joke and teleport downstairs. 

"I see you got my sweet little message," Rowan says when he sees me walking into the room. 

"You wanted to talk?" I say ignoring his comment. 

"Yes, Cassian told me about the joining ritual. I knew you would be here, that's why I'm here. The other night, I had a vision of a few days from now, everything we know and love gets wiped out. I'm talking about the entire earth being smoothed out by destruction, fire, water, earthquakes. I have a feeling we're dealing with the same problem. If anyone can fix this it's you and your team," he says and I suddenly feel the literal weight of the Earth on my shoulders. 

"I appreciate the confidence but we know as much as you do. I have no idea how to stop what you just described. The people who are going to do that are immortal and we have no idea how to kill them."

"If you don't mind, can I see exactly what you saw?" Palmer asks Rowan. 

"Sure but how-" he stops talking when she puts her hands on his head. After a minute, she pulls away and has a genuinely scared look on her face. 

"What is it Palmer?" I ask. 

"It's not the seven who destroy everything, it's Cynthia Wilder."
