"Kai we can't just leave now, this isn't about Avery or Vada, this is about Cynthia destroying the world we all live in, the world Sammy lives in," Lorenzo says trying to get me to stay. 

"Enzo every time I look at her i just feel pain I can't-"

"You are a leader Kai, a leader does what's best for the greater good and he sure as hell doesn't walk away when things get tough," he continues. 

"Do you agree with her?" I ask referring to Avery, when he doesn't respond I already know the answer, "WHAT! You agree with her????"

"To a certain extent, yes I do. Her and I weren't the closest but I understand where she's coming from."

"She lied to us all and when we find out she wants us to just treat her like she isn't Avery S-"

"Because she's not Avery. She really isn't, she has been forced into a life she didn't ask for. I can't imagine being in her position, she made an impossible decision, but she still made it, and it changed her for the better. I don't know about you but she's inspiring to me, she built this team from the ground up on her o-"

"Enough with this team Enzo! I get it, she's great."

"Then forgive her Kai and maybe try actually getting to know her now, she might have changed but it's no secret that you guys are still in love with each other. So stop being so stubborn and find out if she's still someone worth loving."

Palmer 

"What?" I say when I see Avery's head pop into my room. 

"I just want to apologize Palmer, I realize there's one thing I haven't made clear to you," she says still standing by the door. 

"Fine, come in," I plainly say. 

"You have to understand that I am a different person-"

"No no no, leave if you're going to give me this talk all over again, I get it, you've changed, now leave," I rudely say not wanting to hear the same nonsense she told us a few hours ago. 

"It's not that Palmer," I nod and we both sit on the edge of the bed. "When it comes to you, there's nothing I wouldn't do to keep you safe, and that is simply because, no matter who I am, Avery Shaw or Vada Vacarri, you will always be like my little sister, I'm sorry for not making that clear before. I was upset, but that's no excuse, I love you and I will always be there for you even when you hate me."

"I could never hate you Vada, I'm sorry for making it seem like I'd love you any less because you've changed into an even stronger person," I sincerely say knowing I was also in the wrong. "Just give me some time with the name, I have to adjust," I say giggling and she smiles too. 

"Deal. Just don't forget what you mean to-"

"AVERY!" I shout when I see her being sucked into what looks like a portal.

"Palmer!" the last thing she says before it closes and it disappears with her. 

What just happened?????

"WHAT?!" Cassian yells after I explain what just happened. 

"We have to rescue her," Kai anxiously says. 

"We have no idea where they are," Imelda says. 

"Yeah we just came from their little cottage, it's empty, so is the secret place beneath it," Rik explains. 

"The mind inhibitors," Tanith says teleporting out of the room and the others follow. 

"Where'd they go?" Enzo asks.

"To that computer in the concrete box," Kai clarifies and teleports away, Enzo and I follow. 

"What is it?" I ask after entering the room and seeing nothing but shocked faces. 

"Where is she?" Kai asks. 

"She's not on the planet anymore," Cassian says, the fear evident in his voice. 

"How can she not be on the planet???" Enzo asks panicking. 

"The inhibitors can only track someone on Earth, her inhibitor's is saying out of range and the coordinates are going crazy because it hasn't mapped the galaxy," Cassian explains. 

"Can it map the galaxy?" Rik asks and Cassian shakes his head. 

"We can't just leave her," I say not understanding why they seem like they've given up. 

"We're not leaving her," Tanith says. "I will check the spiritual realms and someone can check the objects orbiting around space," she continues. 

"Dibs on space," Imelda says. 

"Me too," Rik adds. 

"I'll go with Tanith to the realms," Cassian says. 

"I'll come too," Enzo volunteers and him and Tanith share this look, I don't know what it means but it's a flirty look. 

"You two stay here in case her inhibitor comes back in range," Cassian says before teleporting out with the rest. 

"Kai we'll find her," I say after he punches the wall. 

"I can't lose her again Palmer," he says with tears in his eyes. 

"Me neither. We won't. We will find her and stop Cynthia for good," I say trying to comfort him. 

"She's alone and up against seven people and if not seven people then one person with seven different abilities," he says working himself up. 

"Vada is more than capable of taking care of herself Kai," I didn't even realize I said Vada instead of Avery until Kai gives me a weird look. "I love her either way," I say teleporting out of that room. 

Vada

"Don't even bother trying to teleport out, we're in a realm where the only way out is through a portal that only I can open," Idris says standing in front of me. 

"What do you want from me?" I ask while standing up because he just through me on the ground when he brought me here. I stand up and look around, it's as if the sun doesn't shine here, the entire realm looks like it's sole source of light is the moon. The air is crisp and it's as if it's permanently night time. I dust the white dust on my hands and walk towards Idris, I might not be able to teleport out but that doesn't mean I can't kick his ass. 

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Yvonne says from behind me. 

"Why would I listen to you?" I bark back. 

"You'll do anything we say," Tasia says now standing next to Yvonne. 

"Oh yeah? Why's that?" I ask with attitude. 

"If you don't we slit her throat," Heska says dragging someone on the floor behind him. 

Panic takes over every cell in my body when I see who it is, "Mom."
