Distance

I walked back to my room and Bambam was sitting there. He smiled when I walked in. Which made me hurt for a second for what I was about to say... but only for a second.

"Hey... you okay?" I smiled and nodded.

"I'm not gonna lie to you... I think that for the sake of my relationship and even our friendship... we should keep our distance... Only seeing me for work and such." I wanted to rip the bandaid straight away or I'd continue to hesitate. He gave a confused and angry look.

"Wait what?" He said scoffing. I sighed.

"Where Jungkook and Lei?" I asked to confirm there absence and ensure they couldn't hear us. He nodded.

"They left. But what does that mean?" I shook my head and grabbed a drink from the fridge. I couldn't tell him that... my boyfriend doesn't trust him. That's too... suspicious?

"I just feel like we barely know each other and I'm grateful for everything but we should just stay like work friends. You know?" He nodded.

"I get it. Your drawing a line."

"Wait- that's not what I meant." I reached out to grab his arm to soothe him in some way but he just dodged it furiously.

"Did you hear what I said before? I really like you. Love you even! Can't you just let us grow and see what happens-"

"I told you. I have a boyfriend. If being with you more than him jeopardises my relationship then I'll make an easy decision and I asked for space respect that." He groaned.

"So what does space mean?" I shrugged.

"Just not doing things like going out together or texting each other often. Just come and work and I'll
Pay. That's it... for now at least." He gripped his fist.

"I thought we were friends. What changed? Was it you're boyfriend?" I looked at him and shook my head.

"I've made the final decision. Will you respect it or not." He sucked his teeth and stomped off to the office. I sighed. This was hard. But I had to choose between a month or so friendship... and my 2+ year relationship. There's no question...
