Chapter 29

Y/n's POV:
Auntie Sana has been trying to get me to understand these words. Don't get me wrong, the workbook helps, my pronunciation on the other hand, does not. I can't seem to say any of these right.

"Auntie, I give up. I can't do this"

She looked at me with love in her eyes "Sweetie, there is no need to give up. I think you're doing great, you know there are some Korean words that I can't say right"

I nodded, I mean she's right, I can't give up too quickly "Okay Auntie, but I feel like I'm back at school..am I gonna have to take a test over this?"

Auntie laughed "Well this workbook gives you pre-made tests, so I guess you can say you will have to take a test on these. You did want to do the whole thing"

I poured "I'd rather learn Morse Code"

She started to teach me again, because we're still on the basics "Y/n. Are you even paying attention?"

Uh, truthfully nope, I was more like daydreaming. But I nodded because I didn't want to get in trouble, but she just looked at me with a slight smile.

Sana: "What word did I just go over?"

I looked at the book, there has to be a word in here that registers in my brain, but sadly none of them do. I sighed "Sorry Auntie. I wasn't paying attention"

She smiled, both of us were almost done with our drinks at this point, we were done with lesson one, and barely started lesson 2.

Sana: "Okay, that's enough for today. We can continue next time. Let's go home"

I looked up "Are you sure? We can keep going, I mean we only did Lesson 1"

She shook her head "You keep drifting and daydreaming. So I think it's best we stop for now"

I nodded then started to get my things together "I think that's why I can't say anything right"

Auntie laughed "Y/n, it just takes time. Don't worry so much"

I nodded "You know, it's okay to scold me if you want me to pay attention. It's honestly fine by me"

She nodded "I just want it to be fun and not be like I'm the strict teacher. If it were Mina teaching you, well daydreaming wouldn't even be close to an option"

We both laughed, and got to her car "But really Auntie, Min always scolds me...At school! You know, to pay attention to the teacher. I get distracted easily, so if you feel the need to scold me, go ahead. It's not gonna stop this from being fun, I'll enjoy it no matter what"

She nodded "Okay, so next time I will. But after hearing about how you are at school, just be lucky I'm not anyone else." We laughed, this was fun.

Sana's POV:
As I was trying to teach Y/n the basic words, I noticed she was constantly getting distracted. I know for a fact if I didn't stop her, she would've eaten her entire pen. I would slowly try to keep it away from her mouth.

When she would slip off into her imagination, she would bite down on her pen and stare into space. I honestly would scold her, but I'll admit, it's adorable. Also I don't want her to take it the wrong way, and think I'm forcing her to do this.

She finally snapped out of it, and tried to pronounce the word, the thing is that she can't get it "Auntie, I give up. I can't do this"

I looked at her smiling "Sweetie, there is no need to give up. I think you're doing great, you know there are some Korean words that I can't say right"

We talked for a while, now realizing she is taking tests and her whining, we try to go back into learning. But it honestly didn't take that long for her to slip back into space, while I'm trying to explain something.

"Y/n. Are you even paying attention?"

She nodded, and I can tell she was lying, so I asked her to tell me what word I just went over. I saw the panic spread across her face as she tried to look for the word. It took a while, but she finally admitted that she wasn't paying attention.

I closed the book and smiled "Okay, that's enough for today. We can continue next time. Let's go home"

She slowly started packing her things, checking to see if I'm serious, she kept asking me to make sure, and it was. We finished our drink, and started to leave. Her heads are too much in the clouds, but maybe we can do more next time.

She looked at me "You know, it's okay to scold me if you want me to pay attention. It's honestly fine by me"

I nodded "I just want it to be fun and not be like I'm the strict teacher. If it were Mina teaching you, well daydreaming wouldn't even be close to an option"

We laughed, and got to my car "But really Auntie, Min always scolds me...At school! You know, to pay attention to the teacher. I get distracted easily, so if you feel the need to scold me, go ahead. It's not gonna stop this from being fun, I'll enjoy it no matter what"

I nodded, that gave me some relief to know I won't ruin this "Okay, so next time I will. But after hearing about how you are at school, just be lucky I'm not anyone else."

We had a good laugh, but instead of going home, I drove us to the ice cream shop, she gave me a very confused look "I thought we were going home"

I nodded "After we get ice cream it's for your hard work."

When we got our ice cream, we sat down at a table to eat it. Anytime I would wipe her mouth, she would get this adorable smile that I have ever seen.

"So how's it going with Momo and the dance?"

She nodded "It's going really well, but we can't tell you guys anything. It's a surprise"

I wish I could know, but I'm excited to see it either way "I'll keep it a secret. Like top secret"

She smiled "Nope, but I'll tell you one thing though, you'll be the 2nd person to know, but I have a YouTube channel and I'm gonna post the video on there"

I sat there kind of shocked, "How many videos do you have on there?"

She looked up "1 video. It's a reaction video I did with Min" I should check that out, but she wasn't done. "There's something I want to try. I want to do a game series with all of you, play hide and seek, mafia, Uno, a scavenger hunt, other things. Maybe add manager unnie, Ji unnie, Min, or I could ask Daniel or Heechul to join. It's just an idea, I don't know if you would want to, and I wouldn't know where to do everything."

She has a really creative mind, but that does seem like fun, it'll be the home and probably crazier version of Time To Twice. I nodded "Yeah, ask them later. I would love to do that"

We went home after we finished our ice cream, and immediately Mina and Y/n ran off to play video games.
