The bright star granted her wish,
And she's very happy to see him.
But she's a slave in their kingdom,
So she thinks he will not notice her.

(Chapter 3: Outstanding Talent)"Help me what?"
"Help you pass the test," the fairy said confidently, crossing her arms at her chest. You somehow felt a little bit grateful that a fairy was sent to you.
"T-thank you---"
"But before that, take a look in the mirror, young lady," she interrupted. Even though you feel insulted and you don't want to be ordered by anyone, you followed what she said and you were surprised to see how you look.
She began reciting all of your unlady-like features. "Messy H/l, H/c hair? Check. Eyebags under your lazy E/c eyes? Check. You didn't even change in to your pajamas! Goodness! How can your Ciel even fall in love with you—"
"Don't say that out loud!" You glared at her. "And, he's not my Ciel. He's destined to be with Elizabeth—"
"Don't worry no one can hear and see me, except you. And who cares if he's destined to be with Elizabeth? Anyway, don't you know how to take care of yourself?"
You just stared at the tiny fairy. She has no idea how much her words cause pain in your heart. It's okay. You don't expect anyone to understand you. Your best friend can't even understand you in the first place. "Hey, are you even listening to what I am saying?" She asked, snapping you out of your thoughts.
"Y-yeah."
"I guess you don't know how to take care of yourself. *sigh* I'll just lend you a hand. Stay still."
Deep inside, you want to deny the words that are being thrown at you. But you're curious as to what the fairy's magical powers can do. She muttered some words you can't hear clearly and suddenly, you floated.
You don't actually know what is happening but as soon as your feet touched the ground, you noticed that your hair isn't messy from before. In fact, it's neatly tied and the big bags under your eyes are gone. A 'wow' escaped your mouth while looking at the mirror and the fairy showed a pretty smile upon hearing it.
"I found out that the test that they're going to give you is a hard one," she informed. You nodded at her statement, lending her both of your ears and your attention. "The test consists of all the work needed to be done by all of the servants here in the Phantomhive Manor. And last but not the least, a combat or physical test. It's a very important requirement. Do you think you can pass the test?"
'Is she challenging me or insulting me?'
"Both."
'Did I just say that out loud?'
"I can read your thoughts, Y/n. So, what do you say?"
"I'll try my best, though I don't know if the food I'll serve is... edible. You can't blame me! I can only prepare instant noodles and all I can ever cook are burnt pancakes and eggs. I'm not that much of a cook. Overall, I can do some chores like washing the dishes and laundry. Also, I'm kinda strong and I have splendid marksmanship skills. I can always hit the target even though they are moving---"
"Okay, enough with your can do's and can't do's. I'm only going to help you in the cooking part. I'm not that powerful. I believe that you're smart so you get what I mean, Y/n."
Suddenly, you heard a knock on the door. You and the fairy exchanged glances and you decided to let whoever it is to enter.
"Y/n, w-we will be conducting the test now. P-please change into this uniform so that you can get used to it," Mey-rin spoke, fixing her eyeglasses while handing you a maid's uniform. You took the uniform, said thank you and bowed.
