Chapter 23

Savannah-"are we going to the spot?" I asked
Bryce-"nope not tonight" he said giving me his hand to grab which I did.
Savannah-"where are we going then?"
Bryce-"you'll see"
Savannah-"Bryceeee" I said dragging his name out.
Bryce-"that is my name"
Savannah-"can you please tell me where we are going"
Bryce-"on a walk"
Savannah-"yes you have said that but where"
Bryce-"I don't know yet"
I smiled up at him and he smiled down at me. He was a lot taller than me causing me to always have to look up to him but I didn't mind if I got to see that smile. No. No. No. I can't think that about my brothers friend. I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind and carried on walking down the street hand in hand with Bryce.

As We were walking down the street, the sun was setting and the street lights were coming on. It was silent but not awkward that was until Bryce broke it.
Bryce-"are you doing okay"
Savannah-"want the truth"
Bryce-"that is why I asked you" he let out a light laugh
Savannah-"im not good Bryce. What if he comes find me! What if he does something worse than last time. I can't go through that again. I CANT!"
Bryce-"shhh sav" he pulled me into a bear hug and swayed side to side "I would never let him touch you or hurt you again. We will be by your side through everything"

I let out my sobs before calming down and sniffling slightly. He wiped my tears away of my cheek and kissed my forehead. In that moment I forgot everything and just focused on him. The kiss sent had made me blush a light shade of red and I couldn't hold back the smile on my face. I looked up and he had a slight hint of red in his cheeks. All of that just from a kiss on the forehead maybe I am falling for him.

Bryce-"sav I care about you a lot and wouldn't let him touch you again"
Savannah-"thank you Bryce. I care about you a lot to" I said smiling up at him my cheeks flushing a dark red than before. We had walked quite far by now and I didn't know where we were. He led me to a pier and sat down on it with his feet dangling over the edge. I quickly followed suit and sat down next to him laying my head down on his shoulder.

Savannah-"why do you care so much?"
Bryce-"what do you mean?"
Savannah-"I'm just your friends little sister. Why do you care so much?"
Bryce-"sav your amazing it's so hard not to care about you. Your smile and laugh are contagious and your funny as well. You might not see it but we all do sav. It's so hard not to lo... like you" he rested his head on top of mine and we both stared out at the sea. Was he going to say love. No. He couldn't Im surprised he even likes me. I need to stop thinking about him like this it's not fair to Anthony.

Savannah-"do you really mean that or are you just saying it to make me feel better"
Bryce-"of course I mean it sav" he grabbed my hand again and interlocked our fingers.
Savannah-"I'm so lucky to have people like you in my life"
Bryce-"no we are the lucky ones." He traced his thumb over the top of my hand.

We had sat there in silence for 20 minuets now having on and off conversations but mainly just enjoying each other's company. That was until Anthony rang me

Anthony-"sav are you okay?"
Savannah-"I'm fine Anthony honestly."
Anthony-"okay if your sure. What time are you coming back?" I looked up to Bryce and mouthed the question he said whenever I was ready.
Savannah-"maybe 15 minutes"
Anthony-"fine. Love you sav stay safe"
Savannah-"I'm with Bryce he wouldn't let Anything happen. Love you too"
He ended the call and Bryce looked down at me.
Bryce-"ready to go back then"
Savannah-"five more minutes"
Bryce-"fine by me"

Back at sway

We had just got back and we were both tackled with hugs to the floor as soon as we walked through the door.
Savannah-"thanks guys but get off"
I heard them laugh before getting off of us and Noah giving me his hand to get up.

I had been back at the house for 30 minutes when Avani came running out of Anthony's room to the living room where I was sitting with a few of the boys.
Avani-"SAVANNAH!"
Savannah-"yes? What have I done now"
Avani-"you never told me your birthday was Saturday?!"
Savannah-"yeah because I'm not celebrating it"
Avani-"why not!!"
Savannah-"don't like my birthday"
Quinton-"so it was your birthday this week! And Anthony didn't think to tell us"
Savannah-"like I said I'm not celebrating it and he already knew that."
Avani-"pleaseeeeee"
Savannah-"what Avani" I said smirking knowing full well what she was about to ask.
Avani-"please let me throw a party or something"
Blake-"yeah let her savannah"
Savannah-"hmmm nope. How did you even find out"
Avani-"Anthony said something whilst on the phone to your mom."
Savannah-"wait he phoned mom!" I said standing up with a shocked look
Avani-"well she phoned him"
Savannah-"she didn't answer my calls. THAT BITCH"
Josh-"who's a bitch" he said walking in on the conversation.
Blake and Quinton quickly stood up and redirected him back out the door and closed it behind them.
Avani-"I'm sorry sav. That was a bitchy move"
Savannah-"Its fine i will get over it. I have all of my life, I'm the least favourite child for sure " I let out a sigh of defeat
Avani-"that's not true"
Savannah-"whatever floats your boat but I lived with her and grew up with her I know its true. It doesn't bother me so much anymore... I guess" She pulled me into a hug.
Avani-"if it makes you feel any better she asked about you"
Savannah-"kinda thanks Avani"
She smiled at me. I wasn't going to let my mom get to me anyways it's her choice to speak to me. I knew in the back of my mind that it was going or be like this anyways so I was kinda prepared for it.
