time skip to 3rd year

"Hell yeah! Beat his ass Bakugou!" I laugh.

It was another one of the annual Midoriya vs Bakugou showdowns... this time it was allowed. It was for training, of course. The whole class was cheering and being stupid as usual.

All of us in the Bakusquad were obviously the loudest, though. I mean, Bakugou himself trained us to cheer for him, so of course we were the loudest.

Bakugou landed a rough punch on Midoriya's stomach, the latter grunting in pain but recovering fast. They fought for awhile more, taking up pretty much the whole class. We had these about once a month, just on the days Aizawa didn't feel like teaching. Plus, these two got to get their anger out, so it was fine.

Bakugou eventually won, slamming Midoryia to the ground and pinning him there. The whole class clapped, the ones rooting for Bakugou cheering, and Momo tallied another win for Bakugou on the "Kacchan vs Deku" board.

Aizawa dismissed us, and I happily followed Bakugou into the changing rooms. "You did good!" I smile.

"Damn right I did," Bakugou said proudly.

"So, whaddya wanna do tonight?" I asked, changing into my normal clothes.

"Let's just watch movies or some shit. I'm tired," He shrugged, swiftly putting his shirt over his pale muscles (that obviously explored before).

"Alrighty!"

That's what we did. We watched movies. That was all we had to do to keep us both happy. Our relationship was going amazing, anyway. Of course we had gotten into fights and such, but honestly that's just how relationships worked. Plus, we always got through them, and that's the important part.

Soon, we heard a knock at the door. Since we were in Bakugou's room, we could hear it from mine. We looked at each other, and I shrugged, standing up. I walked over to my door and opened it, revealing Mina, Sero, and Kami. "Hey guys..?"

"We heard it's movie night!" Mina exclaimed.

"How did you hear that?" I asked.

"Sero overheard your lovey dovey convo earlier! So now we're here! We invited Jirou, but she declined." They barged in, realized we were watching in the other room, and walked over.

"What the fuck are you all doing here?" I heard Bakugou ask.

I walked into the room, rolled my eyes at the three examining what we were watching, and cuddled back into Bakugou.

Then the three turds jumped on us and laid down. "I love movie nights!" Kami exclaimed.

"I hate them when you're here," Bakugou said coldly.

Kami smiled from next to him and poked at his hair. "No you doooon't~," he sang.

"Yes I do. Now everyone shut up. If you're gonna be here for movie night we are actually going to watch the fucking movie." Bakugou hit play and we all watched.

We were watching The Lorax because it was recently added to Netflix. It was Bakugou and I's new thing to just watch random kids movies. It was fun, especially when Bakugou got invested. He almost cried once.

A week away from graduation

"Okay everyone, soon you'll have a new start in the hero world, boosting your status and seeing how far you can go. I'm not going to get sappy and shit with you all, though, because I don't feel like it. Anyway, prepare your speeches for graduation and make sure they are no longer than 7 minutes," Aizawa crawled into his sleeping bag and fell asleep almost immediately.

I thought for a moment, and then started on my speech. The class was surprisingly quiet, but that was probably due to us all wanting our speeches to be good. I started thinking, and I realized something. How was mine and Bakugou's relationship supposed to work? I didn't want to stop Bakugou from his dreams of becoming the number one hero, and honestly I could get in the way. Plus, honestly, I wanted to work on my own career too. Even if I couldn't get to number one hero, I could surely get pretty far.

I thought about it for awhile, and soon, the bell went off for lunch. We all stood, walking to the school cafeteria. I was kinda in a haze, not really thinking about anything but Bakugou. "So, Kiri, you excited to graduate?" Mina popped up beside me.

I shook my head a little to focus, and smiled at her, "Yeah! Of course I am!" In some aspects, that wasn't a lie. I was excited, just questioning.

"I can't believe we'll be official pro hero's so soon! I mean, we all trained like crazy for this, so we'll all do amazing, I'm sure!" She paused as Mineta ran by, yelling about how he had to pee. "Well... some people.." she trailed off.

I laughed a little and even Bakugou from the other side of me let out a little huff laugh. "It'll all be good," I smile.

"So, Bakugou, how are ya planning to become number one?" Mina asked, leaning forward and tilting her body towards him to talk around me.

"Beat everyone. That's all I gotta do," Bakugou shrugged.

Mina rolled her eyes at him. "Good plan," she said sarcastically. "Anyway, Kiri, what's your plan?"

I rubbed the back of my neck, "I don't really know yet, but I'll figure it all out."

We got to the cafeteria and got our food, eating and making small talk with the rest of the Bakusquad who arrived before us. Shinsou had practically joined our group, so he was there too. I tried my best to get my mind off of the Bakugou thing, but it still sat there, in the back of my mind.

Bakugou and I were walking to the dorms, like usual. It was kinda quiet today, but neither of us minded. It was a calm, comfortable silence, that we had every so often.

I looked at Bakugou and the way the sun reflected off him as it was beginning to set, and then I looked back at the floor. Earlier I decided on the best thing we could do to start off our hero careers, and I thought I should tell him. "Hey, Baku?"

He looked at me, red irises beautiful as ever, "Yeah?"

"I think we should break up."
