When I Met You ( Laceless x Prince )

New Mate

"Already replaced me I see." A dark pink inking comes walking up to the group that finished up a battle. Laceless some how gets a sour feeling in his stomach, fearing he might get into something bad he takes three steps back.

Prince takes notice real quick and can see some fear seeping off of the original blue squid. { He's scared..}
Prince gathers courage and takes a step in front of Laceless so he can some how hide him from the other, even if he already saw him.

"You were late. We wanted to practice so I just asked a friend to fill in Your absence." The new King spoke in a intimidating manner that made the three behind him surprised. Zekko ticks his tongue and takes more steps closer. "Well I'm here now." He shows a dirty grin toward Laceless that made the small blue squid shake.

"Yeah you are. But after we finished training." Prince spat not moving his position. He doesn't want to move since Laceless is behind him and wants to protect him. "...one time. Can't you let this slide."
The two Monarchs behind the King take their eyes to look his way.

Laceless does the same and already knows the answer, which cuts him deep in the heart.

"...I don't want you late for any other practices." Laceless was shot mentally, feeling dread all around him. He looks down knowing this is over. Eging glances away from the King and can see the displeasure on the squids face. Eging can tell Laceless is the one to work hard where he is, so he wasn't going to let this go so quickly.

"Great now that we cleared the Air!~ I still I'm curious though, where were you anyway?" Eging smiles confidently that makes all eyes fall upon him.
"Excuse me?" Prince let's off a tiny smirk and looks back at their teammate.

"Yeah, I think we have a right to know. You did keep us waiting." Prince tells the guy in front of him who has a drop of sweat running down his face from the sudden intense air. "...family..." he rushes out with his voice cracking a bit.

"What was wrong?" N-pacer jumps in asking in a monotone manner. "..sick...my sister was sick." He said confidently when he thought of his terrible lie.
"You told us you didn't have any family members in inkopils." Eging grins knowing he caught the boys lie.

"..." Prince exhales deeply and walks past the boy with Laceless following close behind along with Eging and N-pacer but at a reasonable distance.
"If you can't seem to tell us where you were at, or arrive on time then..I don't want you on this team."

This shocks the boy and forces his feet to look at the Monarchs. "What! You're kicking me off just like that!! Are You Serious!!!" Prince stands his ground once more and glances back at Zekko.

"Deadly." Zekko shrinks away from the group as he made eye contact with Prince. The heavy chill creeping up his back as a dark aura fills the air.
"..A-Alr-right...I-I'm le-leaving..." Prince turns back around but with his usual charming smile.

"Let's head inside I'm beat." The King spoke now calming the air around. N-pacer and Eging follow as Laceless stumbles behind not knowing if he should follow. { since I'm not part of them I think I should go.. } Laceless was about to jog off until Prince calls him over. "You coming in?"

The inkling looks toward the King with beamed eyes and a wide smile now growing across his face. He nods and walks toward Prince. "Yeah." The two boys walk inside and can feel the cool air hit their faces.

"Hum~" Laceless said from the nice air in the house.
He looks around and can see many beautiful items that make him admire it all in its glory. Prince sees his humble eyes and expression so he does a quick giggle. "Want anything to drink." Laceless takes his eyes and looks at Prince nodding.

"Alright I'll be back." The new King then leaves Laceless in the living room. The squid watch's him leave the room as he shows hearts in his eyes. { he really is so amazing... }  Laceless hums then falls back on a couch near by and let's out a long exhale knowing that he has something special toward Prince.

"Yo, Lace!" The blue squid sits up startled only to see that its Eging with a glass of lemonade. "Hey.." the Monarch comes over and sits beside the small inkling. "So, I've noticed something lately..ever since Prince has met you or seen you. He seems to always get this glow around him."

Confused Laceless sits up more and looks at Eging now interested in this topic. "What do you mean?"
Eging glances down beside at Laceless and laughs.
"Uhm..he just seems really happy when you're around. But also, so do you~" Laceless stands you with blush crossing his face.

"W-wha..uhm..." Eging grins knowing he's getting closer to the truth. "It's fine if you like Prince, he seems to like you back." This makes the other blush more heavy than ever before. "That's not possible.." he said sorrowful. " Why's that?.." Laceless sits back down beside Eging and thinks of a way to say this.

"...you're aware that I'm just a gardener...he's..." The inkling doesn't wish to continue, but Eging understands what he's trying to say. "Honestly Laceless I don't think that should matter. If you like someone, you should focus on that person instead of anything else. Don't think of labels."

N-pacer scoff as she walks in the room with a cup of ice tea. "I really doubt you should be giving advice Eging." The yellow inkling sitting flares up and barks at N-pacer. "I Thought It Was Pretty GOOD!" She ignores his shouts and takes a seat.

"It was adequate. But He's right, if you like Prince don't let labels get in the way." She sips her tea with Eging grinning wide from the words 'He's Right' she now regrets so much at the moment. "Stop looking at me." She irrationally said.

"Hey." A sudden voice burst through the group as they all jump in fright. "Auhh! FuCk! Prince! Don't do that, I almost dropped my drink." Eging sits back still taking a sip. "Heh oh sorry, here Laceless." Prince walks over and gives the inkling his drink.

"Thank you.." both boys blush as the two monarchs grin trying to hide it while drinking. After a while of sitting around resting up Eging is the one to shed some light on the elephant in the room.

"Sorry to ruin our relaxing time but...we now don't have a teammate.." Prince clenches his glass and closes his eyes. "I'm aware...but I kind of have an idea already.." all three look his way very interested.
"Well What is it?" N-pacer asks.

"How do you guys feel having Laceless around and on our team. Permanent if it's alright with him..."
Prince glances kind eyes toward the gardener as he blushes. N-pacer and Eging both smile wide and nod their heads. "I think that's a good choice." The female night said. Eging claps his hands and stands up.

"You got my vote~ so how about Lace?"

"...really..." the small inkling try's to hold back some tears of joy. "Yeah. We'd love to have you." Prince smiles as Laceless nods a yes since he can feel his throat dry.

"Great!" Prince stands up and walks beside Laceless. He places a hand on his shoulder as he gestured him to follow. Laceless looks at the two as they nod a yes to follow Prince. The gardener stands up and now the two make way into another room where they can have some privacy.
