When I Met You ( Laceless x Prince )

Just You And Me

Laceless POV:

"Guys.." I hear someone say. I immediately step away along with Eging letting go of me. We both turn our positions over to where the person spoke and can see that it's only N-pacer with a confused expression across her face.

"Oh N-pacer hi." I spoke nonchalantly since honestly there was really nothing to hide from mine and Egings conversation. She still was wondering what she walked into but in reality nothing happened but she must think something other then the hug unfolded.

"..what were you two doing?" She walks into the room and sets down the weapon that was in her hands. Eging shrugs and plays it cool since he also knows nothing happened. "Laceless and I were just having a friendly conversation~" he comes over to me and wraps his arm over my shoulders.

Oh for cod sake I feel like he's making it worse..

I step away feeling uncomfortable with the situation that's going on in this tiny room that seems to be closing in on me... "He was just giving me some advice. That's all..." I spoke up desperately toward N-pacer who stares at me with her intense eyes.

"On what?" She spoke in an impatient tone darting her eyes toward me and Eging. "Just...Being on this team...he said I don't have to worry that much anymore.." I fiddle with me fingers keeping my head low since I'm afraid she can see into my eyes if I look up. Then I hear her let out a slight chuckle.

"You honestly don't. Prince is a good leader and already found a liking in you." I'm so glad she let this slide away and didn't want to press on. But when she said those words. I feel a light flutter that makes me blush and...I don't know how to say it but...miss or want to see Prince.

I want to be around him..

"Thank you N-pacer and thank you also Eging" I bow toward them with gratitude and smile once I straighten up. They nod and we all then walk out of the room and toward the stage area where Prince must be waiting since no one has seen him in the house.

As we walk around the house I swear I thought I saw a bush rustle in the distance. I could have just seen the wind or a animal..but that's the second time today and I feel like I'm being watched...

We three have finally arrived at the stage and just as we all thought Prince was there ready to go with practice. We go down and he greets us with his beautiful smile. "Alright, today is target practice. Eging and Laceless goes first and N-pacer and I will be your targets."

I have to try and splat Prince. This will be interesting!

Eging and I are up at our spawn and then jump off when the game started. Eging let me have Prince while he try's and takes out N-pacer. I work my way over and finally found him already with a special.

But I won't back down

I flank forward with my speed and try to splat him. Only got three good hits before he dodged away from my fire range. I'm surprisingly doing well for a target game. It's cause I'm not on my guard as much. Eging has my back!

As the minutes ticked down it's now time to end the game off with a good note. Out of that practice I only got splatted three times two heavy hits since I wasn't with my surroundings last was because N-pacer took Eging out then me from a far.

All four of us pretty exhausted and sit on the ground catching our breaths. After two minutes of resting Prince exhales and stands up. "We did good today. I'm glad with the progress we've done in such little time. In no time we'll be in a battle."

He smiles toward his team which astonished me, he always seems to take away my breath with just that simple yet outstanding smile...

"Time to call it a day." He said last and starts leading us out of the stage. We round up out of the stage and then walk toward the house. I look around with my eyes being paranoid then was brought back to reality with Prince touching my shoulder.

"Guys go on ahead me and Laceless will stay behind a while!" He shouts over to the two monarchs that look back and wave a goodbye with a smirk.

"Is something wrong Laceless..? You seem...well it's like you're drifting off somewhere else..." he's concerning eyes and gentle touch actually made me calm down little by little with every beat of my heart.

I gaze around my surroundings once more then face Prince shyly and smile as best as I can trying to show that I'm fine.

"I'm alright Mr. Prince..just a little on edge that's all"
I said but I also don't feel the eyes on me which is now concerning on my half. I wonder if Prince can feel them.

"Is everything alright?" He asked me as we now walk toward the garden area that has all different types of flowers. "Yes. Just...I don't know I'm just on edge at the moment I'm sure it will fade away soon..."
I speak with a reassuring tone that seems to place Prince at ease.

So he was tense in the moment before...if I tell him I feel like someone's watching he may get stressed and out of focus. I don't want that for him.

We walk down the gardens path and to a large tree that sits in the backyard of the monarchs that have many birdhouses in it's branches. You can see a few fly out and other peep with gleam or song.

This is actually settling me down piece by piece and I can tell when I glance at Prince that this is helping him as well. When we sit and lean up against the tree only hearing the song of the birds we feel at ease.

"Feeling better" Prince said in a low sweet tone making it all more peaceful. I nod and say back
"Much better, I've always been fond of days like these..." My smile grows as I relax my body against the tree.

As we sit there I'm guessing Prince finally said what he wanted to for a while since when he ended up doing so, it's like he let out a gust of held in air.
But what he asked me was very shocking for me.

"Do you want to do something fun. Just you and me"
